Got some LVC 1947 501 rigids if anyone wants them? New without tags, were a 32x36, now a 32x34 after soaking them.
Can't get on with them - went TTS and should have sized up one. Too tight for me.

picked up some unbranded 101s off ebay for £50, cheers phikz for sizing help. Have to say the quality is on par with APC, fit same as New standards above the knee and taper a little more towards the ankle. I'm a 31 in new standards and 32 in unbranded for anyone thinking of buying. Like i said quality is same as APC but £100 cheaper, will be interesting seeing how they fade

Yeah for the money you cant go wrong, I actually prefer the colour on the undranded's they are even darker than apc's.

The top button on my petite standards has come off and I have lost the button bit, I have the back prong tho.
Does anyone know if APC have the facility to re-apply a button in any of the London stores?

Just got some LVC 1954 501s, fit perfectly. Leg is perfect too.
Didn't realise they're meant to be shrink-to-fit. Anyone know how much the shrink to fit ones actually shrink in reality?

2-3 inches in waist, between 1.5-2.5 in the leg. Depends how you wash them really.
Hotter the water, the more they will shrink. Your best to wear them in a bath of water so they 'shrink to fit'.

Or wear them damp in order to stretch them out if the bath soak isn't an option.

If they fit perfect now they won't after a soak. sell them and get the right size. or never let them touch water

They won't shrink 2-3 inches in the waist assuming you wash in the bath shrinking to fit- they'll shrink 1 inch at most, infact, mine didn't shrink at all in the waist: i.e. they measured 16" across before wash and after wash. (They might shrink more than an inch if you use a washing machine).
They will shrink at least 2" in the leg though.
I went TTS and they're just too tight for me in the waist, best of sizing up 1" in the waist I reckon.

I think it entirely depends on the model doesn't it, they certainly will shrink in the waist if they are shrink-to-fit but likely they'll stretch too.

Best fitting slim fit selvedge sub £150? Been eyeing up the Tellason Ladbroke Grove but unsure how slim they are, I like quite a slim fit.
