Official thread sponsor: The Denim Doctor. First aid for your old denim.

———————————————————————————-

Acne - fit true to size

APC New Standards -size down 2 or even 3 from true waist size

APC New Cures - size down 1 or 2 from true waist size

April 77 - size down 1 or 2 from true waist size

Dior raw 19s and 21s - have vanity sizing and are labelled as two sizes smaller than actual size

Edwin Nashvilles - size down 1" - quite a different fit to most jeans out there though (massive rise, loose at thigh and comparitively tapered at the leg).

Julian Red - fit small, so maybe true to size on raw and possibly size up on non raws

Nudies - size down 1 or 2

Raf by Raf - true

Ring - true

Can't recommend them highly enough. Size 5 is closer to a 36 waist than their size chart suggests though.

Superdenim have the wide fit in all sizes too.

The Tender thread on superfuture is the best place to go to see how their gear fits.

They look good in the pics I've seen of them after they've been nicely faded at least.

Anyone ever dabbled with the Lee Archives stuff? Eyeing up the Lee 101 1952 made in Japan replicas, look quite good; get them for about a tonne from Japan. Lee stuff comes up big - dunno if they shrink though:

Shane, have a look over on the Denimbro forum. They've probably got a thread on Lee repro.

Does James Dean look like he's got a girl's arse?

They're exact replicas of those. I think most people's views of jeans on this forum have been slanted because of the super duper skinny / slim jeans that are currently in vogue.

To be honest, I think it's more the Japanese model that's wearing them.

What do you mean Flasket? Off as in dogshit? I think Lee are pretty underrated to be honest - their slim riders are the best slim fitting jeans out there imo.

EDIT: Lee 101 that is.

Yeah I suppose so - I like all the classic stuff to be honest - Levis / Lee / Gloverall / John Smedley / Brooks Brothers; I ain't really got that much love for the stuff that people rave about on here generally like APC, Acne, Our Legacy etc.
