———————————————————————————-

Acne - fit true to size

APC New Standards -size down 2 or even 3 from true waist size

APC New Cures - size down 1 or 2 from true waist size

April 77 - size down 1 or 2 from true waist size

Dior raw 19s and 21s - have vanity sizing and are labelled as two sizes smaller than actual size

Edwin Nashvilles - size down 1" - quite a different fit to most jeans out there though (massive rise, loose at thigh and comparitively tapered at the leg).

Julian Red - fit small, so maybe true to size on raw and possibly size up on non raws

Nudies - size down 1 or 2

Raf by Raf - true

Ring - true

I want two pairs of jeans hemmed with a chainstitch, what are my options in London?

Rivet and hide and Son of a stag, anywhere else?

Anyone got an opinion on where's best / know how much they charge (and if they still do denim not bought in store?)

Will call both but thought I'd ask here first

£20 at both I believe. I think heavier denim is more at son of stag. Iron heart is the cheapest but you have to send it off

I favour Son of a Stag as their experience with lots of different brands might be useful - they are more likely to know how much they will shrink by and advise accordingly on how much to take them up. Also have footwear in store you can try to see what length suits for boots vs trainers etc.

Have used Real Mccoys for a pair of their own jeans for the same reasons, great service as well and free in that scenario.

Besides PBJ shop, Hinoya, Denimio and Okayama Denim, does anyone know any other Pure Blue Japan stockists in Tokyo/nearby? Went shop the other day and was told that the out of stock model I want (xx005) won't in be in production until Feb/March next year.

yeah didn't enjoy it mate, didn't like the fact it had no hand pockets and the fit was slightly off for me, Went with the apc classic stretch, much better fitwise

Anyone got any experience with Japan Blue? Denim looks good on the 'Monster' models, just wondering if the construction is up to much

Nah not yet, been a few people saying the sizing has been off with theirs though so that don't sound good. I sized up 1 size so might be ok.

Cheers. Coming up small? The measurements has the waist 1 inch bigger on the 30 so think i'll go with that.

Yeah smaller.

quote from thread on superdenim

i purchased a size 30
waist is a 30 raw vs. the 31.1 on the site.
thigh is 11.5 vs, the 12.2 on the site
hem is 7.75 vs. 8.1 on the site

Someone else has said he is changing his size 33 for size 34.

They sent me actual measurements via email which looked as i expected on a size 34 but i guess i will have to wait and see when they turn up if they are correct.
