Official thread sponsor: The Denim Doctor. First aid for your old denim.

———————————————————————————-

Acne - fit true to size

APC New Standards -size down 2 or even 3 from true waist size

APC New Cures - size down 1 or 2 from true waist size

April 77 - size down 1 or 2 from true waist size

Dior raw 19s and 21s - have vanity sizing and are labelled as two sizes smaller than actual size

Edwin Nashvilles - size down 1" - quite a different fit to most jeans out there though (massive rise, loose at thigh and comparitively tapered at the leg).

Julian Red - fit small, so maybe true to size on raw and possibly size up on non raws

Nudies - size down 1 or 2

Raf by Raf - true

Ring - true

Anyone got any Acne Ace cash, stay cash, used cash in a 36? Checking before I pull the trigger on a new pair.

Some help please. Do Dior Homme jeans always come in a 35+ inch inside leg? Even the non-raws?

Seen a pair for sale but they're 33 inside leg so wanted to know if they're legit and just been hemmed. Is there anyway to tell?

What's the quality of ALL SAINTS jeans? I bought a pair but then thought 'WTF am I doing' and am going to send them back. I decided to go through rigmarole to secure the last available equivalent in SLP.

Rigmarole =

1. Look on their website and find the pair I want is out of stock
2. Call them
3. One of their shops calls me back.
4. An extensive whatsapp exchange of messages…
5. Fill in, print and sign an order
6. Send PDF to them
7. Transfer the funds

… its like dealing with Prada.

Wheres the best place to get APC jeans altered these days (by post)? Or will a local place be alright doing raw denim?

Just want them tapering/shortening a bit.

Cheers

If your London based Rivet & Hide, otherwise I'd send them off to Ironheart.

Cool cheers mate. Bit apprehensive as I don't really know the measurements of how I want them to be, just want both pairs to be a bit more tapered below the knee and at the hem.

Any suggestions for jeans that fit similar to Edwin ED55's from the knee up & are tapered to a narrow hem?

Tried on a pair of these Joe McCoys Lot 003 which are similar to a 1947 cut. Straight leg, not slim and medium/longer rise.

I need a 32 so will have to wait for a restock, but in the meantime can anyone else suggest alternatives? Not overly keen on the mismatched stitching these have, but the fit in the 31 I tried looked great.

Want something plain and not super heavy weight.

Last 6 months I have ripped through 6/7 pants (all at the crotch).
Partly because I gained weight, partly because I have been squatting too much.
And actually my upper legs were always quite on the big side.
Any recommendations? Will buying heavier denim prevent it?
(Pretty serious about this…. Laughing out loud Roll Eyes )

Heavier denim won't do any better. Maybe even worse. You need more room in the top block so find a cut that suits your new size. Plus let the denim see water, the less it gets washed the more brittle the fibers become and that's what cause the blowouts. The heavier the denim the worse this will be. So looser cut and more washing.
