———————————————————————————-

Acne - fit true to size

APC New Standards -size down 2 or even 3 from true waist size

APC New Cures - size down 1 or 2 from true waist size

April 77 - size down 1 or 2 from true waist size

Dior raw 19s and 21s - have vanity sizing and are labelled as two sizes smaller than actual size

Edwin Nashvilles - size down 1" - quite a different fit to most jeans out there though (massive rise, loose at thigh and comparitively tapered at the leg).

Julian Red - fit small, so maybe true to size on raw and possibly size up on non raws

Nudies - size down 1 or 2

Raf by Raf - true

Ring - true

They dont have a London store any more and looking on their website, all their stuff looks like fake knockoffs!!
Used to love that brand and was looking for a pair for old times sake but now impressed with what I saw

What size are you, I must still have about 10 pairs in all conditions

You can get the decent (Japanese) Evisu from denimio. They're not listed under brands they stock but show up if you search.

Lost some weight and now all my jeans are wack.

Where in town has the largest selection of brands? Selfridges? Liberty?

any opinions on whether dry-cleaning / bath-rinsing / any other denimhead laundering tactic is worth it?

always just machine washed my raw jeans every so often (never buy anything more expensive than Edwin-level though) and never had any problems, but would appreciate alternative view points.

cheers.

Not if you dont care about fading. Rare DC jeans now unless it a dresser jean.

Liberty is pretty token - Edwin , kapital and a couple more brands. Depending on your budget best place for jeans in London is son of a stag. Otherwise try clutch cafe, just opened on Great Portland Street.

Really depends on your jeans. Unsanforized have to be soaked somehow or you will be walking around in giant, stiff tents that will shrink the first time you wash them and either be too small or have fades in strange places because of shrinkage. Sanforized doesn’t really matter and should t shrink noticably, just wear them. More you wash the more washed out overall the denim. Iess frequent washing means darker denim with sharper fades.

What are the options for denim repairs in Europe these days? I'm aware of a couple in mainland Europe, Mr Handy (Netherlands) and Second Sunrise (Sweden).

Do Son of a Stag offer repairs? Or do they only offer it for brands they stock?

I'd like to avoid Denim Doctor if possible.

Might be a dumb post but am I the only one who finds APC jeans ridiculously uncomfy?

On my second pair (first pair I sized down in too much so went a little bigger this time). No improvement. Had this pair over a year now and just can't wear them long enough to warrant any decent fading as I just want to take them off after an hour or so. The fit is fine when I'm standing, just no give when sitting.

Looking for other recommendations on a slim raw denim that fades well over time?

The low rise on APC PNS bothers me, especially when sitting down. Feels like low cut booty jeans.

Sent my pair off to Mr Handy in the Netherlands in the end. It looks like SoaS don't do repairs - though I'll still stick with them for chain stitching.

Anyone know of anything that fits like the Acne River (in black)? I bought some but don't really like the feel of them. Don't know how to describe it, but feel really thin/cheap. Definitely not worth £190. Fit is spot on, though.
