Official thread sponsor: The Denim Doctor. First aid for your old denim.

———————————————————————————-

Acne - fit true to size

APC New Standards -size down 2 or even 3 from true waist size

APC New Cures - size down 1 or 2 from true waist size

April 77 - size down 1 or 2 from true waist size

Dior raw 19s and 21s - have vanity sizing and are labelled as two sizes smaller than actual size

Edwin Nashvilles - size down 1" - quite a different fit to most jeans out there though (massive rise, loose at thigh and comparitively tapered at the leg).

Julian Red - fit small, so maybe true to size on raw and possibly size up on non raws

Nudies - size down 1 or 2

Raf by Raf - true

Ring - true

Looking for a new pair of good wash jeans. Want a relatively short inside leg and thought these looked good

https://clutch-cafe.com/collections/warehouse-co/products/warehouse-lot-1001-second-hand-series-used-wash-jean-12oz

Not had any Warehouse stuff but assume it's up there with Real McCoy's, quality wise. In London this s weekend so might pop in to try on.

Warehouse are my favourite jeans, better than McCoy’s denim in my opinion

Full Count are great too

Cool. Got limited time to do any shopping so thought Clutch would be a good one shop stop.

Oi Polloi in Covent Garden is closest, not been into the new shop so probably call them to check.

Think the only other stockist is Outsiders Store in King's Cross, they definitely have it in.

EDIT: looks like maybe Oi Polloi Cov G has shut already.
Annoying London can't sustain an Oi Polloi/Bureau/Kafka here. Guess it's the rent.

Yep it's shut

END is in the area but very unlikely they will have OrSlow in store, could be worth a ring tho.

who Rivet & Hide recommended to me and have done a good job

Has anyone recently had a crotch repair done and can comment on price/quality, not convinced by the example on their Insta. Any other suggestions for London area? Usually use Denim Doctor, but ends up costing a fair amount with postage for a small amount of work.

Co-sign on SoaS, they did a great crotch repair job on my blowout. Reasonably priced too.

Mr Handy in Amsterdam used to be good, but his communication and speediness of returning the item to you after it’s been repaired is something left to be desired.

Alpha Shadows…nepenthes.. etc

oi polloi could never survive in London, way too northern, like trying to open Garbstore in Manchester

Didn't think about Garbstore, always like what they buy in, but reckon they're largely sustained by selling own brand in Japan (and to John Lewis this year lol).

We'll see about Nepenthes, I'm a huge fan of all their sub-brands but I haven't been because the shop's in such a weird area. I only ever go there for Roti King or trains to Manchester.

Alpha Shadows looks like it's about to shut, but really hope not (I live about 5 mins from it)

RIP Present, Several, Kinoko…

Cheers Cracka, Bails & Rira. Field denim guy’s work looks solid so will reach out and see what prices/turnaround is first. Otherwise SoaS sounds like a pretty safe option if not.

Think alpha shadows are going to ‘re-launch’ seem to have been building up to that and clearing out current stock. Maybe different brand list?
