———————————————————————————-

Acne - fit true to size

APC New Standards -size down 2 or even 3 from true waist size

APC New Cures - size down 1 or 2 from true waist size

April 77 - size down 1 or 2 from true waist size

Dior raw 19s and 21s - have vanity sizing and are labelled as two sizes smaller than actual size

Edwin Nashvilles - size down 1" - quite a different fit to most jeans out there though (massive rise, loose at thigh and comparitively tapered at the leg).

Julian Red - fit small, so maybe true to size on raw and possibly size up on non raws

Nudies - size down 1 or 2

Raf by Raf - true

Ring - true

Jawdropping! surely that’s for some kind of hand stitched sashiko stuff? Thats insane. Looking at there prices online I have no idea how you could have amassed £500’s worth of repairs.

I’ve done a few repairs myself, used local people, the denim doctor and darned fine.

Always use the denim doctor if I need stuff altered, darned fine for big repairs like crotch and knees. But if it’s something minor I’ll try myself or just use some local people I’ve used for years.

Nothing special I don't think, just that the guy said he'd need to spend two solid days repairing them. These were the list of repairs:

Front: Both front pockets have holes, button hole needs reinforcing, one small hole in the thigh area, two small crotch holes, minor crotch blowout, front hem on left leg is frayed

Back: Both back pockets have small rips near the thigh seam, small rip on the left waist side, small hole on left leg, small hole on right leg, back hem frayed on left leg.

Last time I used Denim Doctor was probably 10+ years ago during his height of popularity for a few pairs of jeans. I wasn't too impressed with the service and the workmanship. After that I tried Melvin at Mr Handy (Amsterdam), while he did a great job he was very slow in responding and shipping the repaired jeans back. More recently I've been using Soldier Blue but yeah after the most recent quote, think I'll try somewhere else. Will look at Mick at Darned Fine next time!

Im usually a 32 waist but got size 31 in these, measure bang on 16" across the waist now after a wash. Inside leg measures approx 31.5", not sure what it was before they were washed but definitely lost quite a bit of length as I was planning on getting them taken up but no need now. Im about 6' 1

How do Orslow 107 fit? I’m looking at the two year wash and not sure if I’ll be a size 3 or 4. I’m usually a 33 in Acne jeans

A slim straight fit. I've a slightly bigger waist than you and wear a 3.

Also they seem to vary in size a lot. Best to try on or ask shop to measure the exact pair they will be posting you.

Got in some new Orslow 107 in a size larger than than my current one as I wanted a bit more room in the thighs, but the inseam on the 4s is much longer than on my 3s, which was pretty much spot on for just one turn up.

Didn't pay attention to the length when I first washed my pairs, but should I expect any shrinkage (both One Wash and 2 Years)?
Should I soak them before hemming?
Don't think so are they are both washed, but just wanted to be sure before sending them somewhere.

Nope, no loss on the various pairs I've had.
They're washed fairly hard in the factory from what I can tell, even the One Wash.

Looking for some selvedge jeans, I keep going up and down in weight so don't want to spend too much £ around £150 would be good.

Looking for something that fits like a ED 85/80, mid rise, roomy thighs, slight taper. BUT I am really wanting something at the most a 30 leg, maybe even a 28. I cant be arsed sending them off to get altered!
I end up chopping most of the taper off jeans with the amount I need cutting off! Laughing out loud

Any brands I should be looking at? Edwins are only a 32 leg, Nudie don't do what I'm after, APC's too long, Unbranded too long too.

If I cant find anything shorter ill have to get them shortened but trying my best not to!

Bought a pair of used APC PNS after a hiatus away from them. Can’t mind if the hem was chain-stitched on them or has the seller taken up and not bothered.

Can someone please confirm if they’re supposed to be or not as I might take them up a bit.

Thanks.
