———————————————————————————-

Acne - fit true to size

APC New Standards -size down 2 or even 3 from true waist size

APC New Cures - size down 1 or 2 from true waist size

April 77 - size down 1 or 2 from true waist size

Dior raw 19s and 21s - have vanity sizing and are labelled as two sizes smaller than actual size

Edwin Nashvilles - size down 1" - quite a different fit to most jeans out there though (massive rise, loose at thigh and comparitively tapered at the leg).

Julian Red - fit small, so maybe true to size on raw and possibly size up on non raws

Nudies - size down 1 or 2

Raf by Raf - true

Ring - true

Just through the forum really.

This pair is no way restrictive. I have had a couple of pairs which were a bit slim but not too bad. Usually I like a size up or just a looser cut to work in.
I can’t really imagine wearing anything other than jeans for work. The heavy denim gives some protection when you are crawling around on all fours.

Same as rivet and hide, clutch etc. They all use vintage machines. SoaS seem slower others can often do while you wait, they send them round the corner to their sister operation Soldier Blue now I think.

I've used Rivet and Hide a few times for hemming and always happy. Can't compare with other places though.

Previously used Iron Heart, Rivet & Hide and Son of a Stag for chain stitching, as mentioned they're all much of a muchness. Last two times I've used Son of a Stag as I could send the jeans to them and then pick them up in person as I was passing by at later date. Used Soldier Blue once for repairs and they were great, second time I didn't use them as they wanted to quote me £500 for repairs (even with discount) Laughing out loud

Wow. What were you getting done? Got photos of the damage that needed fixed? That’s madness.

Multitude of things, both pockets had to be repaired (including the lining), multiple crotch blowouts, holes underneath the waistband, both hems were torn and had holes, waist button hole had to be repaired as it was hanging on by a couple of threads, there were at least a dozen things that had to be repaired. I had no doubt they'd do a great job, but worlds away when I sent them the same pair 2 years previous for a few holes to be darned, and that only cost me around £40 including postage there and back.

I recently used Field Denim and had great results. Had three pairs with crotch blowouts repaired for something like £45. Message Alexis on IG - @field_denim_workshop.

Would also recommend Field denim too, for repairs. Much more reasonable than SoaS

ended up using clutch. Great service. £5 off if they stock the brand you are getting hemmed. They got delivered to them yesterday and they did the job, dispatched them and I got them delivered this morning.

Good to know. I’ve got a pair of warehouse jeans that need to be hemmed
