———————————————————————————-

Acne - fit true to size

APC New Standards -size down 2 or even 3 from true waist size

APC New Cures - size down 1 or 2 from true waist size

April 77 - size down 1 or 2 from true waist size

Dior raw 19s and 21s - have vanity sizing and are labelled as two sizes smaller than actual size

Edwin Nashvilles - size down 1" - quite a different fit to most jeans out there though (massive rise, loose at thigh and comparitively tapered at the leg).

Julian Red - fit small, so maybe true to size on raw and possibly size up on non raws

Nudies - size down 1 or 2

Raf by Raf - true

Ring - true

Mr 88 just stick them out for a week or maybe 2, wear them everyday all day and you won't regret it.

in my experience it doesn't work too well- the starch did stiffen the denim but only for about an hour.

Thanks mate. Am I meant to be in discomfort for the first few wears though? Laughing out loud

My PS's used to be tight around the thigh as well (i sized down 2 at the time), got better with wear definitely
but you don't want the white stitching to show along the side of the jeans because you're stretching them too much
what size do you wear?

I'm a 32 waist, so went with the 30's and they're just a pain. There's no over stretching going on (white stitching), just hoping they get more comfortable. It's strange because it's not like they're skin tight at all, there is some breathing room.

They'll be fine. It's probably just because the denim is still a bit stiff. I sized down 2 on my last pair and they were a bit of a pain, especially around the back of my knees, but they'll soon loosen up.

Thanks I appreciate the help guys. Yeah, around the back of the knees is probably the worst and was a right pain sitting through meetings all morning. I'll stick it out for a couple weeks then. Eye-wink

Edwin, go for some Nudie Big Bengt. They are a very similar fit to the 55s, slightly better fit and quality denim IMHO. Fit an inch big, so I would get a size 29" if possible. Think ASOS do 29".

Back of the knees has been painful on all the raw denims I've broken in -apc ns and ps (both sized down two), skull, samurai, but has eased off. Think about it, because of the creasing there, it's the only part of the scratchy jeans that is directly rubbing into your skin..

Disagree nudies better quality than Edwin. Had a pair of Big Bengts for about 2years now, still going well but prefer my Edwin ed71s

I picked up a pair of 501 1947's which are apparently 'irregular'. I cant seem to find any defaults about from being the wrong type of fit for me and my thunder thighs.

These… http://www.superdenim.co.uk/prodpage.asp?productid=702

Are they supposed to fit small? Waist is fine but I look like a fat scene kid trying to be cool. Will they stretch? Worn them around the house for two nights but doesnt seem to be happening…

Which cut? They usually shrink 3" in the leg and 1 or 2 in the waist, but if you wear them whilst they are drying the waist should stay pretty similar but will be a lot stiffer.

If you want a slimmer fit buy your true waist and wear them whilst drying.
