———————————————————————————-

Acne - fit true to size

APC New Standards -size down 2 or even 3 from true waist size

APC New Cures - size down 1 or 2 from true waist size

April 77 - size down 1 or 2 from true waist size

Dior raw 19s and 21s - have vanity sizing and are labelled as two sizes smaller than actual size

Edwin Nashvilles - size down 1" - quite a different fit to most jeans out there though (massive rise, loose at thigh and comparitively tapered at the leg).

Julian Red - fit small, so maybe true to size on raw and possibly size up on non raws

Nudies - size down 1 or 2

Raf by Raf - true

Ring - true

Can anyone recommend a pair of black (preferably raw) jeans as similar fit to New Cures as possible? Would get the selvedge Petit Standards when my money finally comes through but I can't find them in stock anywhere. Not a denim head so ain't got a clue where to look.

Petit standards look a similar fit to Edwin ED-71 Selvedge, are the black raws the same?

Got some new raws, they have a weird little flare at the hem opening. A taper job would sort them out, probably a stupid question but should I do this right away or wait till they are settled/worn a little?…

I had that with a pair of new cures and got them tapered straight away. Didn't do them any harm.

I brought some rescues in a 31 (my waist 34) which have the orginal 36" leg and have been worn 10 times so far (not by me) haven't been soaked or washed. They fit fine but are far too long in the leg. Do I roll them (looks a bit stupid) and just wear them hard being too baggy in the leg? give them a short soak? (how much will the lose in the leg?) or get them hemmed? They will shrink when I eventually soaked them won't they?

Thanks for any advice

my 1947 501 shrunk 3" in the leg and got a lit slimmer an tighter at the waist.
put them on, get in a normal temperature bath for 20-30 mins, wear them whilst they are drying so they don't get too tight

Wearing them whilst they are drying is a pretty impossible task for any normal human being living a normal life id say?

Even on a lazy Sunday indoors it would be hard as you would make anything you sit on wet and stained with indigo.

I sat in the bath with my samurai's , then hung them up to dry till they were damp then just wore them. That was in the summer mind. I wouldn't being wearing damp jeans in this weather

Wear them in the bath,

Take them off, lay them flat on a towel with another one on top. Roll them up, step on it a few times, unroll, put them on again. they'll be dry on you in a couple of hours.
