———————————————————————————-

Acne - fit true to size

APC New Standards -size down 2 or even 3 from true waist size

APC New Cures - size down 1 or 2 from true waist size

April 77 - size down 1 or 2 from true waist size

Dior raw 19s and 21s - have vanity sizing and are labelled as two sizes smaller than actual size

Edwin Nashvilles - size down 1" - quite a different fit to most jeans out there though (massive rise, loose at thigh and comparitively tapered at the leg).

Julian Red - fit small, so maybe true to size on raw and possibly size up on non raws

Nudies - size down 1 or 2

Raf by Raf - true

Ring - true

might be old news but when i was in american classics at the weekend i heard that a guy who works in the levi store (probably the lvc store off carnaby street) has a chain stitching machine. might be worth a london fuker chasing up.

Also a new store has opened in parsons green by appointment. Nice selection of Japanese denim and offer a chin stitching service. It's called rivet and hide.

Got my first pair of raws - pair of unbrandeds, do I need to soak them before I send them off to get the leg shortened? I hear the leg might shrink on raws after a wash, don't wanna end up with a pair of denim capri pants.

my apc's shrunk maybe 1-2" in length.

would soak them before hemming. might be a good idea anyway considering unbranded is pretty stiff and uncomfortable even with 2 months wear (wearing mine right now and they are still pretty stiff overall).

hot soak might shrink them in the waist as well. have not soaked mine (is it a bad idea to soak them with 2 months of wear? would love if they soften up a bit more) yet!

and yeah, 2 months of solid wear. have worn them every day if possible (some too warm days inbetween where i had to switch them with something lighter and breathier)

cannot comment on a hot soak but i think they end up being too small Laughing out loud

i first tried out skinny fit tts and they were good in the legs and upper block except for the waist. i sold them and went for the tapered tts. it's also good in the legs but pretty tight around the waist. might be because they have a thick double waist seam stitching underneath the first single seam waist stitching, if you know what i mean?

think they will be fine once washed. my apc's are butterly soft after two washes and tend to stretch more than when they were raw Smiling

I don't think Danny@ Rivet & Hide is qualified to do minor surgery.

His hemming skills are good tho'

Recently got a pair of Flat Head 3001 from Danny @ Rivet and Hide. I ended up going pretty much TTS and got a size 30, had about 1" room in the waist pre-soak. Extremely happy with the fit and the jeans are incredible, such an upgrade from new standards. Some photos here http://imgur.com/a/Md2IS and post soak fit here http://imgur.com/a/jTOrb
