This whole evolution thing,
Where did the dinosaurs fit into this? Are we talking about after they were gone we had then had the whole single cell to water creature, to land creature, to standing upright , to us.
Or were they part of this cycle that began before them?

They were a very long time ago, before Jesus and all that.
The evolutionary history of the primates can be traced back for some 60 million years, as one of the oldest of all surviving placental mammal groups. Most paleontologists consider that primates share a common ancestor with the bats, another extremely ancient lineage, and that this ancestor probably lived during the late Cretaceous together with the last dinosaurs.

Do you mean path or that all life was killed and started again?
As this "started again idea" doesn't wash?
IT must be related otherwise it dismisses the evolution idea of creating and developing a new form of land life for the first time.
Also I am sure we are told that we have animals like crocs and lizards and birds that are related to dinosaurs.
So it seems they while a different path are part of our early chain of evolution at one point?
