Do you want Saha? He'll only play one game every ten, and you can pretend he's Henry.

from wiki so could be suspect

Deffo NOT right…

Ruud's scored MORE goals in LESS games but has a lower strike rate? Fuck is that about

LOL thats a better strike rate. 1 goal every 1.6 games is better than 1 goal every 1.9 games

Oops

I read it as 1.6 goals per game Oops

Fuck me that Huntelaar has some strike rate Eek One thing to bear in mind is that the dutch league is probably on a par with the SPL unfortunately.

its all settled in and ive come to realise i support Arsenal not Thierry Henry.

Yeah his strike rate is phenomenal, just look at some vids on youtube and his goals are both feet and he looks canny in the air too. Obviously the dutch league isnt the prem but under the stweardship of wenger who knows what will happen.

Why do Utd need a striker? Leading scorers last season, and now strengthened their attacking options with 2 more forward players. They'll be playing 4-2-3-1 anyway, so another striker is only going to be warming the bench. Rossi might be given his chance, Saha will hopefully get to full fitness for the first time in his Utd career after his op, Smith might not end up going, Richardson will hopefully be shot, all will be well.

Well, the reason we need another striker is that rooney, isn't really a striker of sorts. He's a forward, he plays best when placed just behind a box-man, like ruud, imo. You can't rely on your mifielders to score most of the goals, though it worked alright this season. I'd like to see an outright striker, so rooney can play off him.

Oh and Noble, i wasn't saying that ruud wasn't a better striker, just correcting Guido on the price. And imo, he is a better striker, an absolute machine in the 16yard box.

MoB, respect because I enjoy discussing it with you. I will go on the wind up but you know your shit.

Henry and Cantona are the best the Prem has ever seen. Any Spurs fan can go suck dick because they know shit about football.

Great loss to lose a player of the calibre of Henry. Not sad to see Arsenal suffer but we need great players in this country.

Take me home United road to the place I belong………

hahahahahahahahahahahahahahha amazing getting all upset cos your best players gone. what have i said that shows i know nothing about football? dont think ive even made any observations in this thread. and yeah ive played to quite a decent standard thanks (trials at a pro club few years back).

please.
i dunno why i came back in this thread.. maybe the rage i feel when i read your inane bullshit. you are one hour ahead of us here 'cos you read it on the 606 boards, that does not mean you know about football.
what standard? please enlighten us.. which clubs you have trials with and who was the chief youth scout when this happened? what local teams you played for? district? there is no way you have played at any decent level.. i love to play football more than i like to watch it or talk about it, i know your sort.. and i bet you cant kick ball for shit.

But that won't happen, who would you leave out of the midfield 5 to accommodate another striker? Carrick & Hargreaves will hold, 3 out of Ronnie, Giggs, Scholes, Nani & Anderson (primarily the first 3) will be in front of them and Rooney up top. And we definitely don't need a box man as that doesn't suit our game at all. Ruud might have a been a great goalscorer, but thank god we sold him.

You were happy when we sold ruud? He had a couple of seasons left in him, and he was a fantastic goalscorer. Nutcase.

Oh, and you really want 2 brand new players starting in the first team? I'd play giggs scholes hargreaves/carrick ronaldo to start with, and start subbing nani and anderson in, over the course of the season. See if they prove themselves, with rooney hanging just behind an outright striker, like ruud.

R, you are notorious for it. Do you really want me to dig up old posts of you with ridiculous signing speculation?

What a line - 'he had a couple of seasons left in him'. It wasn't working with him in the team, and that's why we got rid.
You obviously know your football mate. Won 1 league title in Ruuds 5 seasons at the club, our worst record since the start of the Prem. 1 season without him and we're champions, potential treble winners. Great goalscorer unquestionably, but halting the teams progress - build up was too laboured, predictable, gameplan was get it to Ruud, no plan B. We were starting to look much better towards the end of 05-06 when he was injured/dropped and Saha was playing. And Hargreaves wasn't bought as an alternative to Carrick - it's not either / or. And when did I mention starting Nani & Anderson?

This is solely my decision, no-one has forced me to do anything

I do think this is the right time for Robin van Persie, Emmanuel Adebayor and Nicklas Bendtner, who is coming back from Birmingham, to shine,

Hopefully they will do it. As soon as you know they can do it, they will forget about me, that's the way it is.

When Patrick left everyone was devastated, including me and then after that a little guy came around called Cesc Fabregas and, although I didn't agree with it, everyone started saying 'who needs Patrick Vieira'?

Cesc is a world-class player, Robin van Persie is a world-class player, hopefully Adebayor will become a world-class player, Tomas Rosicky is a world-class player, Jens Lehmann is a world-class player, Kolo Toure and William Gallas are world-class players. You can go through the whole squad like that.

I will now become an Arsenal fan and will be looking at every result. I am sure the team will be successful."

I would like say to you that you have been tremendous for me and I really do appreciate it

I am shaking as I say this. I will always remember you and I will have you in my head and my heart.

"I wanted to reassure you that I always gave 100% here. I hope you appreciate what I did here because I appreciate what you did for me.

"I grew as a man and became a better football player - I will always take that with me no matter what happens.

"Arsenal will be in my blood as well as my heart. I will always, always, always remember you guys. I said I was going to be a Gunner for life and I did not lie because when you are a Gunner you will always be a Gunner.

"The club is in my heart and will remain in my heart forever."

right time for him to go, I think - a legend, but it will free up a whole generation of talent for Arsenal - I wish him well, he is fucking class in all respects, lovely man
