Totally. So to hear Whelan coming out acting like he's the football transfer equivalent of Mother Teresa made me want to snap his other leg. Although I've got a funny feeling Wigan, Rangers and Webster still might get a bit of a shock (Russell Anderson's transfer has definitely strengthened our case). And especially if Lampard or someone equally as well known uses that loophole. No way Uefa will want any of the big clubs to have their star players ripping up their contracts and the clubs only getting a small percentage of their true value.

the mail are saying tevez is signing for man u.

this part made me laugh:

As well as being fined for turning up in an official press conference wearing a United shirt, he was also punished for turning up for a game in Bermuda shorts — and for fighting with team-mates.

R can you check with your contacts and see if there's any truth in that about going to United. Would fit in well with the current buy young policy. cheers Eye-wink

Would you want him Guido? I'm not sure he would be a good partner for Rooney, more of an alternative. We need a goal getter.

If he got in shape then yeah I think he'd be a cracking player. I think Fergie may look to employ Rooney in a more central role as he matures. It's in his locker to be able to play as the number 10 he is now. Fergie seems to want an attack which is fluid and full of power and pace. He fits that bill. Ruud was and still is a supreme finisher but he laboured the attack which was at the detriment to the rest of the team.

Only thing about Tevez is I hate the baggage he comes with regarding who owns his registration etc. That would need to be sorted

I know what you mean about the movement and creation. Ruud held us back when it came to total football. He was a lazy fucker too!

Fergie said we were offered him last season but he didn't like the deal. I would imagine he would only go for it this summer if they could buy the registration, hence why 20 million is being banded about.

I don't think Ruud was lazy. He just didn't have pace so he wasn't going to run onto a through ball which is how United were looking to play. He loves getting service into the box from out wide… old fashioned crosses which he got from Becks and Giggs. Giggs is now not playing that role as much so it meant the service he thrived on wasn't there anymore.

Time will tell what happens. Normally with United the deals that are done you find out after the event and not in the gossip columns before.

with tevez utd would be like a vintage wenger goon side, no out and out striker all bursting from deep, would be scarily good though…

imagine barca v man utd in champions league final Cool would be a cracker for neutrals ("abu's")

Towards the end of his Utd career he got lazy. He wouldn't chase fuck all. He wanted the ball to feet all the time. Used to see his arse all the time too.

I agree with what you say about feeding on crosses and Giggs' role though. Ruud leaving allowed Ronaldo to blossom and Giggs to start playing the way he did last season. He proved he is still a hell of a goalscorer though this season at Madrid.

On a side note, you into the new home kit?

I like the back. Very GT40

This Tevez deal sounds very messy with regards to who owns him and what the deal could be. Think that could put United off.

i didnt realise me stating that the mail saying that man u are signing tevez is claiming it as my own? some fucking idiots on here.

1 thing i do know is the chelsea bid reported in press for chmbonda is real, we were going to reject but now hes causing a whole fuss over it and wants to leave. bloke we had our eyes on as a potential replacement from the start is the one who signed for west ham so we might be a bit fucked. i love chimbonda Sad
