Nah you can't get downs animals in the wild.
They don't share the same chromosomes etc, (I say etc because I don't really know what I'm talking about) but it has to be spliced in to the animal in order for them to have it.
So while it's possible to have downs cats, dogs and monkeys, the only creature which it is "ethical" is mice.

yesterday I was walking down by the river with my mrs, all was well and it was nice and sunny. we even had an ice cream! great days. as we walked along the river banked by very nice houses on the other side we saw…or should I say "heard" one blaring out bruce springsteen. not just regular loud but festival level volumes..we then noticed a guy sitting in the garden reading his newspaper and then realised that next to him was a helicopter. we were thinking about how he got his helicopter in there as the space seemed pretty small and maybe it was trailored in. but no, shortly after we saw him take off in his helicopter.
