The wackness is very different to kids though that he isn't part of a crowd, he is a loner and has loyalties to what he grew up on not constantly changing to suit trends,(he is basically you) still listens to tapes, makes mixtapes, plays old consoles etc.
The film did run off track when he gets involved with the girl but a lot of films do.
Finally taking into account the soundtrack and how well he plays the role is the reason I gave it a mention.

Kids >> Wackness

yep so you think the main character in the wackness is good. but does that make the movie iconic/all time? Personally I liked Kids for the dialogue, clothes, atmosphere and overall grimey authenticity of the film not really the characters, I couldn't have given a shit if they all died of aids in the highly unrealistic plot that assumes dudes WILL get HIV from 1 time sex with an HIV positive girl. Atmosphere, authenticity and "feeling" can make a great film, one decent character using a midwest version of NYC slang while supposedly being from NYC. how many times can you say "dope" to attempt to add faux authenticity to your cliched LES film? Because you liked both films I assumed you saw something similar in them but if you only liked the character in The Wackness and didn't even like half the movie how can it be an all time great for you?

you are growing wise. Anything with that stupid bitch Richard Norton is basically shit.

This thread makes me realise how shitty it would be to only be able to watch 10 movies. Probably love about 90% of whats been mentioned in this thread. Dislike/hate 9% and have not seen about 1%. Wish I hadn't seen 90% then the next few years of my film watching life would be so great.

Ed/Edward Norton fam.

I blame HMV/Virgin megastores 3 DVDs for 5 quid offers they did. Bought a cabinet full over the past 10 years, watched them all on my shitty uni portable - took the excitement and anticipation right out of the movie experience.

oh yeah I mean Edward Norton of course. Richard Norton is an Australian martial arts expert that made it big in Hong Kong action films in the '80s who I actually really like. Oops

What? cuz I said that the departed is better in my opinion than the original makes me a "knob". I feel sorry for you young guys, so insecure that you have to resort to personal attacks, thats not me brother and I'd never do that, low level trolling is laughable.
