Couldn't imagine the subject ever coming up amongst my peers down here.

The be all and end all is Aventus up here in my experience. If it comes up in conversation and Creed is mentioned and you say which one, they don’t understand what you are asking Laughing out loud Not that Aventus isn’t nice, it’s just everyone wears it and don’t think Creed make anything else. Which they don’t have to I suppose if they aren’t in to it like some.

Yeah joe, the favebook groups normally sell like 5/10 ml of anything you want to try if you ask. I’ve blind bought in the past from note description and been really happy. Just need to know what you do and don’t like the smell of.

I have a bottle of Aventus and Silver Mountain Water and the longevity is quite poor anyway. Pretty disappointing for the money really.

Yeah I find that myself I’ve also had both but a while a go. I have Virgin Island Water that lasts 2 hours on my skin it’s a joke. But so nice for that 2 hours Laughing out loud

MontBlanc Explorer is proper beast mode on me. 3 sprays and someone said they could smell it 15-20 feet away. Still prefer Vibrant Leather even if performance is poor.

Wore FM Geranium Pour Monsieur today, and 2 compliments within 30 mins of leaving the house. 4 hours later and it’s still going strong.

Nothing better than a compliment getter Cool

I’ve only ever smelt Portrait of a Lady by FM. Too feminine for me but could tell it was really well made. There’s a shop 45 mins away that stocks loads of them so should really go and try them out.

LFC - do you have the Eden version of VIW too? Interested to see how they compare in terms of performance and how close it is. I love VIW but can’t justify buying a bottle as I’ve heard from multiple people how terrible it’s longevity is.

I’m a big FM fan. I have: Music for a While, L’eau d’Hiver, Cologne Indelibile, Geranium Pour Monsieur and Outrageous. Portrait of a Lady is an amazing scent, as is French Lover, but neither are my style.

My go summer scent is Outrageous but thinking of changing it up as it’s EDT instead of EDP, so again, doesn’t last long at all.

My Mrs wears portrait of a lady. It’s lovely but a feminine fragrance.

Copped the No4 by Thomas Kosmala today LFC Cool Power of FUK.

Anybody got an alternative to Santal by Le Labo. It’s basic as fuck over here…

Tiger - Yes I have the Eden version I use for work. Creed version is a lot smoother I’d say but for £24 it’s a winner really and lasts 3x as long as the original on me.

If you want a VIW alternative that’s higher end go with Simone Andreoli Malibu Party in the Bay. It’s unreal mate and I get compliments every single time I wear it without fail. My favourite fragrance purchase for a long time. Well I’ve bought 3 bottles over the last few months it’s that good. Blows VIW out the water for longevity

Nigel - Nice! I take it you like it then. I was going to say, it got described to me as a more masculine Baccarat Rouge 540 (which my Mrs wears and I’ve worn in the past) and that’s spot on what it is. Forms like a scent bubble around you for the day and gives you hits of it. It’s good stuff Cool

Trademark infringements all over the shop! I'm tempted to do a comparison…

Yeah I like it LFC - thanks for the post. Would also like to try the Malibu party but not seen any US stockists yet.

I just sampled Maison Louis Marie No4 Bois De Balincoirt which is nice. It’s a dupe of Santa’s 33 but seems to last longer and is cheaper. I tried the perfume oil and will cop the bottle. Would recommend to fukers looking for a fresh woody smell.

Anyone signed up to this?

https://ffern.co

They make a new fragrance every season. Either order it each season, or pay ahead, they send you the bottle with a sample attached, if you like it, keep it, if not send back the bottle.

Purchased the Tom Ford - White Patchouli 50ml for £54

Nice smell.
Long-lasting, subtle with a hint of incense and rosey spiciness

What's everyone's ultimate autumn frag?

Feel like I've done CdG to death, and in all honesty never got too many compliments with them, so looking for a few diffent alternative recommendations that's not going to break the bank.
