Is the CDG worth the £60+?

Anyone know of anything similar to Penhaligons - Halfeti, without the price tag

Looking for a new summer fragrance as I'm just finishing up a bottle of CDG Man 2 which I've been using for years. Generally I prefer my Autumn and Winter ones (Aesop Hwyl, CDG Wonderwood and the pepper one).

Any recommendations?

Frederic Malle Cologne Indelebile - obsessed with this one at the moment, gets so many compliments and is just the perfect all rounder imho.

Funny, I really didn't enjoy this one. Got too much of an air freshener vibe to it for my taste.

Got tacit by aesop at the moment, pretty good summer day scent imo

Another great one for Summer. This is their take on Virgin Island Water but lasts about 8 hours longer than the 2 hours I get with that.

This place keeps popping up on instagram etc

Sounds like a good idea, but is it any good is the question!

Few people in my work have tried them. They are ok but not great lasting they have said. Ok for the money I’ve been told.

For a cheaper alternative to more expensive fragrance I’ve found Eden to be really good. £24 for 50ml, the Virgin Island Water and BR540 they do is really good which are the ones I’ve tried.

Got this in the Harrods 10% off as it’s an exclusive for there. Nothing but compliments so far and long lasting. Thomas Kosmala No.4

Also got this for nearly half retail. 100ml’s are exclusive to Selfridges so happy to not pay full price. Great for Summer. Atelier Cologne - Pacific Lime

Another one for Summer. Parfums Vintage - Isla Tropical Prive. Their site is in $ but products actually ship inside UK.

Good shout on the Thomas Kosmala. I don’t bother buying fragrance now if it doesn’t last. Will give that a go.

Interested in trying that Thomas Kosmala.

Bought this on a whim, og (2006-2011) formula, still such a solid scent.

Yep got a bottle of that and the intense version. Great timeless scents.

Interested in more Mont Blanc reviews. Was going to pick up as a day scent for the office

Explorer? Got 2 60ml bottles from ebay for £18 each for mine and the Mrs’s Dads. They were made up. Decent for work no doubt. Just be prepared to smell like everyone else I suppose.

Longevity sounds crap in online reviews?

I always find that more a personal thing and depending where you spray it. Some I’ve heard are shit lasting, work quite well on me and some the other way round. Surely worth a punt for the price, could even take it with you for a top up?

Is it a Scouse thing that lots of guys are well into sophisticated (and expensive) scents?

Couldn't imagine the subject ever coming up amongst my peers down here.

Do you get samples of all these fragrances LFC? One thing I hate is shopping for a new scent and obviously just buying off someone on the internets shout isn’t ideal either.
