Notable mentions for PdM Herod and LV Ombré Nomade, wouldn’t mind trying these 2 out more in the future. Anyone had these?

No.4 Ubercool

Wasn’t fussed on No.10 myself, hence the still available 10ml if anyone’s interested.

I’ve had decants of Herod and Ombre Nomade.

Herod is a great tobacco and vanilla scent, very easy to wear, not something I’d go for over Montabacco say in that style (where the tobacco is more subtle), but very nice and lasts really well.

Ombre Nomade was very heavy. Nice but got a bit sickly. Smokey raspberry oud done very well but just wasn’t for me. Nouveau Monde is meant to be good from that line also.

Had a little sniff whilst the Mrs was getting her Clinique fix.

Tom Ford Beau de Jour has moved from private blend to signature line so the price is a lot more reasonable. Smell is still the same. I keep going back to it but never had a full bottle.

Kilian Dark Lord. Gash. Booze heavy with pepper, hated it.

Eau Savauge. CLASSIC. Smells like sherbert lemons.

Prada Luna Rossa Sport. Pleasant enough if not a bit boring. Nice for a beater as it would be very easy to wear as nice and fresh.

I bought a few from Eden recently and also Club De Nuit Milestone to see how the cheaper fragrances perform.

The Eden Green Irish Tweed is okay
but not amazing. It lacks something which makes the original so interesting imo. Their Aventus clone is nice enough but doesn't last particularly long (but either does the original in my experience). Their Virgin Island water version smells very close to the original and lasts a long time. That was the best from Eden. Will be great in the summer.

The Club de Nuit smells nice and performs well. I've only had a smell of the original Creed version in store, so cant really say how good a clone it is. Worth 30 quid anyway.

Interesting you found Ombré too sickly, I get the impression you’re in to these type of heavy frags.

That TF sounds up my street, tried the Prada and yes that ticks the boxes as well.

Seems the ones that come out on top for me are a combination of spicy, balsamic, aromatic notes. Couple of others on my to try list are Sweet Temptation by Parfums d’Elmar and Alexandria II by Xerjoff

Nah not really man. Heaviest stuff I own is probably Ormonde Jayne Nawab of Oudh, Penhaligons Halfeti, Widian Liwa and Initio Oud for Greatness. Which to me aren’t that heavy because of either the sweet (Liwa, OFG, Halfeti vanilla) or synthetic (Nawab Hedione) ingredients lifts them slightly and makes them easier to wear, for me any way.

I’m attracted to the Geza Schoen synthetic vibe fragrances mostly. Most Ormonde Jaynes do it for me. Ambre Royal is just unreal and Montabaco is just so good and the fact I was able to get the Verano version was even better. I wore just 3 sprays of it as I was taking my daughter to her swimming lesson and it gets a bit stuffy. 2 neck, one tshirt. The tshirt spray is still projecting a week later as I go to wash that tshirt with the washing. Just an amazing scent that has been made even better with the fresh hit at the start.

This is why the Kosmala wins so well in my opinion. Perfect balance of sweet, synthetic and depth that lasts for 12 hours.

I wore Bvlgari Tygar yesterday, grapefruit synth bomb, amazing performance and great projection. Mrs even complimented it and she’s fussy as fuck and forgets what I wear unless she hates it. So was a winner.

Not tried any of the Ormonde Jayne as yet. Liked Halfeti and also Cairo from Penhaligons. Widian sounds like something I’d dig too. Thanks for the heads up on the Xerjoff, did see it in the group, but not in a position to purchase at the mo, Christmas & kids has rinsed me!

Ah right sound are you on Fragheads yeah?

And me mate Cry The temptation has been huge as been tuns of bargains been getting put on.

Defo mate, if you like No.4 I’m more than sure you’d like Liwa. One of my top 5 ever easy.

Thing with Ormonde Jayne is there’s a fragrance that will please everyone. All top quality. If you had to puck one house to only wear, this would be close to the top for me. Well worth a try if you get chance.

Did you try Eau Sauvage parfum or the original? Wear the original most days but it's so weak on me. When I use CDG2 or Dior Homme Intense the smell lasts for ages.

Yeah was EDT version mate. I know they do a cologne version which must be weak as piss and then the edp version which could be the way to go if you wanted to stick with it.

I can’t comment on how long it lasted in myself as I showered within 2 hours off trying it.

Yes bud, some of the people on there got crazy frag set up’s. Once January payday comes around will be reaching for a fair few decants. Will sample some OJ when I next get to Harrods. Keep coming with the recommendations though LFC.

Anyone want CDG Wonderoud - 100ml I've had about 10 or so sprays (approx 5ml). I'm just not getting on with it.

Bought new and received beginning Dec2019.

Comes boxed with all its inner packaging.

£65 shipped.

Bought the Eden snide of Baccarat Rouge 540 after a recommendation from a mate. Not for me, I’m told it’s a good copy.

Sprayed it twice, 50ml, £18 posted if anyone wants it?

If you love patchouli and benzoin you can’t go wrong . The old edt was much stronger than the current edp but it’s a winner imho

It is a good copy for the money to be fair. Can be too sweet for some though.

Rosendo Mateu Nº 5 Floral, Amber, Sensual Musk.

10ml of this arrived the other day and I can’t get enough of it. The smell is addictive. It’s one of the best fragrances I’ve smelt. Amazingly smooth and so easy to wear. Will be my next full bottle buy for sure.

You get this from Fragheads? I missed the decants being offered up on this, gutted as it sounds decent.
Only UK stockist is F&M so may have to make trip to sample

Yes mate. Well worth trying.

What’s F&M? I couldn’t find a UK stockist when looking. You have a link please?

Edit: just to add I can’t remember ever smelling anything like this. Proper great could easily wear it every day of the year.
