dy for Spring/Summer.
I caved and bought a bottle of the Rosendo No.5 last night. You actually crave the smell so needed a full bottle
I haven’t mate but I’ve just put my name in for 10ml. Should be nice and fresh rea
Someone on FB group going to sort me a decant on this, looking forward to having a sniff. Mind me asking what you paid for the full bottle?

I’ve said before mate it’s not that impressive full bottle wise. Maybe 20 bottles? But I try a lot and have tuns of decants that, to be honest, are getting used up a lot more before buying any main bottles because of my self imposed buy ban(that isn’t working
).

Yeah the more I’ve worn this the slightly bitter side which I’m assuming is helped by the vetiver comes out and makes it not as fresh as I first thought, but more classic sort of smelling, which I still really like.
I always say, it defo comes down to personal taste and what I love, people may hate but I’ll say mine no problem (and have full bottles of all I will list).
So for me, the best smelling summer scent is Creed Virgin Island Water. But it only lasts around 3 hours on my skin. Which is why I rate Simone Andreoli Malibu so highly. This is VIW on the roids and lime and coconut heavy and lasts all day.
Next would be Bvlgari Tygar from the Le Gemme line. Grapefruit and ambroxan is so simple but works so well. I’ve only worn it a couple of times over winter as I’m saving it for warmer weather but it really is amazing and actually makes me feel happier when I wear it.
Ormonde Jayne Montabaco Verano. This is a Harrods exclusive which I’m not sure they’ll still have as I think it was 200 bottles and I got mine in December I think. OG Montabaco is one of my favourite fragrances and the Verano adds a grapefruit opening making it work really well for warm weather. I wish they’d done it in bigger bottles as it makes me not want to use it only having 50ml and knowing it might never come back.
But if you want a bargain summer fragrance I’d go for Armaf Clud de Nuit Milestone. This can be found on ebay for around £35-38 and is their version of Millesime Imperial by Creed, which is probably my other favourite Creed. Salty, fresh slightly fruity but with musk to keep it masculine, the Milestone pulls this off amazingly for the price.
Another which I just remembered I have is Parfum Vintage Isla Tropical Prive. This is their take on VIW but I’d say with a more sugary rum base which I really like. It is very eel made. These are listed as dollar payments but stock is kept in the UK so no customs fees. Think you can buy sample sets as well which could be worth it.
Hope this helps. Like I say it’s a lot more personal I think, I could write loads of what I like but could make other people sick
Oh shit just remembered another which I’ve bought a full bottle of on 5th Feb and it still isn’t here
Rosendo Mateu No5 Floral Amber Sensual Musk. Is easily one of the best fragrances I’ve ever smelt. Would happily wear this every day. If you can try this, for a honeymoon, it would be a perfect fragrance for that to me. Lasts forever too. But it seems to be sold out everywhere online and they are waiting for deliveries which has caused my wait.
All I have suggested have had compliments when worn, even from strangers in the street and bars.

Another decent recommendation that one LFC . I really like it, although I’m not sure if it’s a bit too floral for me. Have to give it a few more tries. That said, you’re right about it being a crowd pleaser though, had people comment on it 2 out of the 3 times I’ve worn it.

. I feel I'm playing it very safe when I read some of LFC's picks. Actually got a bunch of a samples in from Nose.fr with some Penhaligons in there just to try something a bit 'different'
What did you get? I try loads of stuff but normally just aim for things with notes in that I know I like so normally works out well. I have Penhaligons Halfeti which is really nice. Might be putting it up for sale actually because it’s going further down the pecking order
The Tragedy of Lord George and Much Ado About The Duke. I got a bunch of others. You heard of Marc Antoine Barrois? Got a sample of Ganymede which people seem to be v positive about. Not tried it properly but definitely smells unique.
On a side note, shouldn't be surprised, but Wonderwood and Wounderoud by CDG are almost indistinguishable. Joke.

Nicolai New York Intense.
I tried this months a go and dismissed it as I found it to be a bit “soapy”.
Wore it again on Friday to start a weekend away and it was great and was miles better than my first wear. Caved in and bought a bottle tonight. 30ml though as it wouldn’t be a daily wear, maybe more occasional as it’s pretty powerful.

Ormonde Jayne Zizan. Proper belter for warmer weather. Lemon, Lime Bergamot heavy, very fresh and very easy to wear. I’ll find a bottle ready for summer.

@LFC send us a pic of your entire collection of smellys.

Thanks bung. Really wasn’t sure if it was going to be for me with the floral notes but I’m so impressed with it.

Yeah I should add I got it with 10% off and 3 free samples of my choice which is pretty rare and suppose more worth the wait.

That No5 sounds interesting, there is stock about though via net/Belgium.
