looking for a new fragrance, trying to decide between cdg kyoto and sequioa. both sound pretty interesting, just wondered if anyone had experience and opinions on either.

A friend of mine has cdg 2, really like it - haven't smelt 8 88 though, unless it's the one someone where I used to work wears. I know it's CDG and really strong….

…but kind of strong in the 'I give you probs for wearing that' way?!

But is it fair to say that if I like 2 (unisex) I'll like 8 88?

I much prefer kyoto but best thing bar smelling them is for you read online reviews before you buy.

Finally decided to go and have a smell of CDG2, I don't know why I waited so long, it's lovely. Just managed to get a 100ml tester with a few squirts missing off ebay for 32 quid, bargain.

yeah, i read quite a few reviews but they seem pretty mixed as with most comme fragrances. saw it mentioned a couple of times that kyoto was similar to christian lacroix tumulte homme though, which i really liked but is now discontinued.

tried quite a few in a shop a few weeks ago, quite liked terre d'hermes and acqua di parma colonia intensa. gonna go smell some others in person tomorrow. if nothing grabs me i'll probably order some kyoto Cool

Started using Issey Miyake L'Eau d'Issey Pour Homme Intense On the Rock.
Really nice imo. Smells light fresh lemon woody and peppery, quite a strong distinctive fragrance reminiscent of a CDG smell but more suitable for the day. Good value to.

Comes in two varieties but the other one smells like toilet.

Blurb: L'Eau d'Issey Pour Homme Intense On the Rock is a manifesto of Water and Concrete: a first step in water, a footprint in concrete. This limited edition bottle is entirely decked in real concrete in an unprecedented technical feat.

The perfume features yuzu, bergamot, annis; tonic, patchuli and incense in a heart, with a modern twist - iris, violet and tonka in a finish of the composition. Perfumer is Nathalie Lorson.

I really like that one, wore it daily for weeks until one night a topper bird I hadn't seen in long time told me I smelled like a 15 yr old???

Tonka ?

Sounds properly manly ingredient.
