I like it too, but sometimes when I go to put it on I can't help but smell the original and nothing but. That thing pretty much ruined the whole line for me. You could smell it everywhere years back Sad

it was in the mag mate. ive already checked all the exclusives like you….not there.
you had to take the page in to get a sample of the stuff, sounds pretty exclusive…the bottles were like spaceship tyoe silver vessells.

from here

http://women.timesonline.co.uk/tol/life_and_style/women/beauty/article6721788.ece

Meanwhile, in the fragrance world, the team that breathed new life into the Halston fashion label has now lent its clout to the scent. The perfumer Carlos Benaim — who trained under Bernard Chant, creator of the original Halston fragrance in 1975, and worked with the man himself on a limited-edition project — has been given the task of “reinterpreting” the original woody scent (£75 for 100ml, from Harrods). There’s a little more marigold and floral to it, as well as sandalwood and amber to soften things. “Fragrances were more heady then,” Benaim says. “Nowadays, the style is for more refinement.”

The bottle is still in the same Elsa Perretti design as the first time around, but in a platinum finish. So is it better? I can’t say, but it does smell darned good — good enough to make me feel like an old-fashioned party.

talks about Halston but certainly isn't the same price as the one listed in exclusives, but googling the bottle brings up nothing different to the one on exclusives.
