I've been looking for tops/shirts/tees with plunging backs, since I like to feel the air on my back. But when I search for them online I can only find them for women. As a man, albeit a somewhat queer and gender-fluid one (hence my username), I'd like to buy a top that has a shape more suited to a man. Can anyone help?

give swede a pm. he's also gender fluid and I'm sure he has some recommendations on clothing that might be suitable.

Joking aside you're probably best off talking to a tailor, no doubt they'll relish something new to do rather than letting out pants and taking in dresses.

Thanks for all your replies. I have given up trying to find backless tops designed especially for men. I have taken to buying women's backless tops and I have been pleased with the ones I have purchased so far. I do wish, though, that fashion designers would be far less sexist and produce a much wider range of clothes for the male form. I am very envious of women for the far greater variety in the types of garments they have to choose from. Why are there so few tops, skirts and dresses specifically designed for men? In these gender-fluid days, I am dismayed that men are always expected to limit themselves to shirts and trousers, and even with those there is such an ordinariness in their colours and designs. End of rant.
