the last episode of GOT felt like the last 30 minutes of LOTR where they had about 30 endings and goodbyes.

Didn't hate the last series but it was nowhere near the standard of the last lot. Fuck knows hwy the rushed it all. Reckon it might be better to watch it in one sitting rather than separate eps.

Cheers. I enjoyed the first season but my wife is losing interest during the second.

Watched Broadchurch recently got proper into it. Last 2 weren't on par with the first season but still good.

Any recommendations for something to binge now? Line of Duty looks appealing.

Just finished the Sopranos (2nd viewing) and thinking of rewatching The Wire next. Just don't see myself rewatching GoT again, even in 5-6 years.

Yeah it's very hipster, but also very watchable.

I'd argue that if you aren't enjoying it at this point maybe it isn't for you. In my eyes all the seasons are fairly equal. In fact, a lot of people consider season 2 the best one. The last one is perhaps a tiny bit weaker for me.

The Wire would be the best TV show ever if not for Twin Peaks: The Return. The sheer scope of the ideas of the show will never cease to astound me.

^probably true at this point (for The Wire). However, isn't what makes the Wire great is the sum of all its parts/seasons?

To be honest I thought the 2nd season was its weakest. But again, as illmurray said, if you aren't enjoying it after the 1st season it's probably not for you and you'll be better off sticking with mrs brown's boys and topgear

Agree re:season 2, but even then it's better than 90% of what's on TV.

The Wire is great and I'd say stick with Doogan. That being said The Sopranos does trump it for me, when I've heard a lot of people say they prefer The Wire.
