Hes beat who hes needed to. He beat a 10 year unbeaten world champion in 13 seconds. He went up 2 weights, which is madness, especially in the time frame, and won the first round. You cant ask more of the guy than that. His talk is probably his biggest asset, but his skill level and speed is ridiculous. If he went to a proper camp, trained properly with the right spars and fought smarter, hed be unstoppable, but just not at 170.
Nate might have done a couple of triathlons for charity, im sure most fighters do the same kind of thing. Hes also known for drinking and smoking weed while in training.
You cant say Conor and Diaz are both natural welters. Bisping (185), is a similar shape/height to Diaz for example.
It was a massive plus for Diaz to have the fight at 170, hes naturally bigger, and comfortable at that weight. It killed Conor going up to 170 tho, and he was even 3lb under at the weigh in. It was a big mistake for him to not make the fight at LW the first time, then again, it sounds like he just wants to make a few mill then fuck off. He knows hell never go skint if he doesnt fight again.

To be fair I do think McGregor would win a rematch but Diaz and McGregor are roughly the same weight, you need to get over that jimmo.

Conner should of fought Edger and maybe a rematch with Aldo I'd like to see him fight Max Holloway again too, before he moved up. trying to fight RDA off the bat is crazy. look at the lightweight top ten
Champion : Rafael Dos Anjos
1 Khabib Nurmagomedov
2 Eddie Alvarez
3 Anthony Pettis
4 Tony Ferguson
5 Donald Cerrone
6 Nate Diaz
7 Michael Johnson
8 Edson Barboza
9 Michael Chiesa
10 Beneil Dariush
Where do you see him fitting in? I'd like to see him fight the strikers first Cerrone, Barboza. Mcgregor v Pettis would be a great fight but I can see him getting beasted by the likes of Khabib and RDA.
I think he needs to fight people like Dariush and Chiesa to get used to grappling at that weight!
That said I think he's trying to make as much as he can as quick as he can then gtfo

74 - LW i mean they should have fought at.
The weight clearly affected Conor, he has never gassed after 1 round before, Diaz was comfortable. Conor does not walk around at 12 stone. And Diaz couldnt get to 145 like Conor. I read Conor was 3lb under and Nate was bang on 170 at weigh in. Bisping is the same height and slim like Diaz, and he started at LHW, which makes my point clearer. Hes as close to Bisping as he is to Conor. Conor is naturally skinny, hes not stocky and ripped. Diaz is skinny but tall, makes the difference of a weight class, and Conor wasnt much more for the fight. Diaz is over 30 now, if he was struggling to make weight a few years ago, its only gonna get worse. And that is the biggest load of shit ive ever heard about him purposely not making weight because he wernt being paid enough - why take the fight then? Especially knowing you are gonna get even more of your purse taken away, and after being given extra time to train. Then he loses the fight. All that straight after his fine and ban for inactivity, and racism.
All fighters cut a lot of weight to fit in lower classes, the difference is Conor was beating them all, Diaz wasnt.
I dont think Conor will do all that much now unless he goes to a proper US camp. Hes got money and fame and already hes talking about issues with training. Still impossible to know how good he is untill he has a go at LW.

Khabib would murder Conor.
22 Apr 2016 15:49
Most of the top 10 LW would probably beat Conor, its a bit ridiculous to think he can go up against elite fighters when hes sparring with nobodies. Makes his ascent all the more impressive. Give Conor a year in a proper camp, get him wrestling and working on having a bit of defense so he doesnt have to rely on his reaction speed when hes tired, and he would be up there.

Are you Irish by any chance?
22 Apr 2016 16:43
I watched the weigh in and both where under 170 I'm sure there was only a pound in it but it could have been two.
22 Apr 2016 16:45
Khabib should be getting a shot at RDA next he's a beast, it will be a good fight.
22 Apr 2016 16:47
I'd love to see that fight again, can't see it going much different to the first though.
22 Apr 2016 17:04
Oh god I completely forgot he'd already done him! I think they're reluctant to make it as a Russian Muslim isn't their ideal champ
22 Apr 2016 17:32
Not a tinker, just dont think people are giving him the credit he deserves. 155 would have been a lot closer. It might not of made any difference if he didnt have enough time to train because of media duties, or he didnt get himself to the gym enough. If hes talking about retiring, hes obviously had enough of killing himself in the gym when hed rather be waving at fans in his soft top ferrari, then getting paid to go to parties.
22 Apr 2016 21:03
Rubbish! could you imagine if Nate had a camp at all?? He trained for RDA which would of been a much harder fight.
23 Apr 2016 21:40
Michael Venom Page making waves. One to watch

Not seen last nights fights yet, anyone see bendo get a beat down in bellator? The size differential was huge!
