A more realistic matchup would be for him to fight 2 or 3 time more at LHW then fight for that title. Machida would eat him though.

Machida love in after less than 5 fights in the UFC.

Marquart will be a better test.

He's fought in the UFC 7 times homie, he's also beaten four UFC champions (not necessarily at the time of the fight obviously).
He's also never lost in his MMA career, which cant be said about his pound for pound best fighter peers; Fedor, Anderson Silva, GSP.

Also Anderson Silva already beat Marquart, who hasnt yet earned a rematch.

I find your comments quite strange.

Fedor is phenominal, can't see him ever joining the UFC he's such a big name in Japan. Would be awesome if he was to join and smash that wwf wrestler up. Hope he doesn't do a Mirko Cro Cop and join when he's past it.

Lesnar could pose a bigger threat to Fedor then many believe, not because he is a better fighter but because of style.

Wrestling is Fedors weakness and Lesnar is a biiig dude thats agile and fast, not that i think he would win but if he managed to take Fedor down he could control him for a decision.

What? Where do you people get your information?

correction, Fedor Emelianenko lost to Tsuyoshi Kohsaka due to referee stoppage from a cut. Its listed on his official MMA record.

Lesnar has a fighting chance against anyone as he's so big but then Fedor has a decent background in Judo and has some decent take downs himself and has devastating stand up.

Still think GSP vs Silva would be a phenominal match up with best p4p 'title' on the line, if anyone's style and physique/athleticism can bridge the weight gap it's GSP especially with his ability on the ground.

Not seen enough of Machida to comment although he looked fantastic againt Evans, remember him submitting that big Judo guy (Sudoko or whatever he's called) who everyone was bigging up and also beating up Tito Ortiz.

Anyone remember Bob Sapp vs Ernesto Hoost haha, they love a freak show in Japan! Anderson Silva reminds me a bit of Hoost.

silva vs machida
lesnar vs fedor

these are the two fights i reckon everyone wants to see.

think silva machida would be funny though, they'd both just stand still getting booed until the other one moved [/jokes]

I get it by actually watching the fight.

He got cut by a illegal elbow and the only reason its a loss on his record is that it was a tournament and one of them had to go through.

technically its a loss on his record, bit lame to have a cut stoppage loss on an otherwise perfect record.
think it was couture who said its impossible to train for a fight with lesnar as there's no one out there who you can spar with that can prepare you for his size and lunchbox hands.. blocking on the floor is difficult when your getting clubbed through your guard ala frank mir.

in regards to the hoost v sapp fight, used to love hoost, filho, peter aerts, crocop and le banner in k1 - pre ufc..pre freak show. only recently getting into mma. like someone said they love a size mis-match in japan.. dont know if lesnars as big and although he's not in the same league as lesnar but hong man choi was a big fucker and got dealt with pretty efficiently by fedor.

I thought his first fight in the UFC was again Ortiz, my bad.

having said that he has beat some pretty shit fighters. Sam Hoger, David Heath, Nakamura and he only beat Ortiz on points when Ortiz very nearly had him down for a submission at the end of the 3rd round!

Marquardt should be 4-0 since Silva had is not been for that cheated decision at the o2.

Also you cant compare him being unbeaten to other fighters who have lost. Anderson Silva has fought much better fighters. Every is unbeaten at one point, its like saying Bisping is amazing when he was 14-0 !

I didnt say it was fair I said Fedor has lost, and he has, yet if you already knew so much about it why did you say; "correction, fedor has never been defeated."
