Laughing out loud

Good performance by Vaughan Lee as well - a few years back a Brit submitting a former p4p great would have been a daft idea

Good event - despite what people are saying, I don't think there was a terrible fight on the whole card. Though I haven't seen all of the prelims yet. All of my main card picks came through apart from Boetsch, who I don't think would have been picked by anyone! Great comeback though, obviously Okami was severely rocked and held on for quite a while.

Shields was much more active than usual on the feet, and is trying to evolve his game. This was not the fight to criticise him for being dull - it was actually promising for his future.

Rampage and Bader was what you'd expect from a fighter who is no longer that good, and a great prospect who will probably never be great. Rampage needs to find out which classic fight he wants to repeat, and bow out on it.

Always glad to see Hunt win. He'll be more of a sideshow than a contender, but he's good to watch. When he's not against Rothwell. Maybe give him Russow or Struve next.

Great KO by Pettis - I suspect that UFC will probably speed up his path to the title now that Bendo's #1. They'll need to carve a particular path though, as I'm not sure I see him getting past an Edgar or Maynard.

Plus his neo-nazi tattoos. Someone didn't do the research on him.

Kudos to rousey's sportsmanship. If you watch the first armbar, she let go. That was showing pure mercy. She had no choice but to snap that arm the second time because Tate wouldn't submit. Yes, she has a loudmouth. But, she showed sportsmanship initially by showing mercy the first time enough for me to retain my respect for her personality in that moment.

I reckon that could be the fight that finally pushes women's MMA properly into the mainstream. Great fight, and great armbar.

Shows how effective high level judo can be

Yeah I saw that. Didn't think it was very effective though because the state the guy was in any white belt in the world could have controlled/choked him.
