He was really pissed, was almost comical at times. He also said Greg Jackson is weirdo and the only person who should ever interview greg jackson is a psychiatrist.

Then make it nontitle.
Besides everyone on that card got screwed by Jones/Jackson. I feel really bad for these guys, Jones not allowing them the same chances he got to become a star and a champion. Unbelievable.

I don't hate him for not taking the fight on short notice but I do hate how he is (seemingly) so stubborn with an entire event on the line. He should have accepted one of the options that wasn't, cancel the whole event.
I'm also baffled as to why he wouldn't fight Chael (or why Jackson talked him out of it). Jones' dynamic kicks and elbows plus his wrestling match up almost perfectly against Chael. Their twitter war plus the Henderson injury could be as interesting as a build up as if the fight was scheduled six months out.
There are reasons to turn down fights, but this was a missed opportunity for Jones to save an event and shut up a rival in one swift move.

Chael doesn't deserve a shot unless he has at least 4 wins in the division, Jones destroyed Machida less than a year ago. No way Jones will get cut

I don't like Jon Jones but can understand why he turned down the fight, it's not fair to blame the loss of the event on him. If he lost the fight with Chael, everyone would be saying he shouldn't have taken it on short notice. If part of the reason he is the champion is that he spends a huge amount of time studying his opponent then I think he has a right not agree to fight a guy on short notice.
The reason the event got cancel IMO is that UFC cards are now more like boxing cards where there's only 1 fight people care about. Main events have been removed from cards before and the event has still happened.

Can't blame Machida, he has a legitimate reason to turn down the fight. He finished fighting 3 weeks ago, and probably wants a full camp before fighting his arguably his toughest opponent ever in a rematch. Can't blame him. That said, props to Vitor, I would love to see Vitor KO Jones with a blitz.
Anyway always disliked Jones who displays disingeniuty at every opportunity.
1) He never turns down fights–but he will if he thinks it's not in his favor.
2) He wants to be a role model–but drinking and driving is okay.
3) He's a company man and never says no–screws over an entire card by saying no.
4) He says he fights for money–but turns down a PPV draw because the fight's not favorable (see 1).
5) He wants to be a legend of the sport–but alienates his peers and fans by pulling out in the most recent fashion.
