when it comes down to technical wear, the difference would be in the detailing, like the goretex coloured lining, leather straps and toggles, and for example the reflective triangles along the bottom back of the nomad. i much prefer the half zip, pull over nomad. but i wouldnt pay 200+, let alone 400 hideout. i dont own any vis jackets because of this justification to pay out on details alone. though at the right price i would love to own a nubuck bickle and or a black townsend.

think thats a crude comparison. the difference between andys tech apparel and vis goretex jackets, is influence. visvim are commenting on particular menswear items derived from culture. eg the nomad pullover and cycling jackets, due to recent interest in fix wheel culture. dont forget the majority of vis shoes are developed from exciting ones. eg paik = desert trek, palke = wallabie, wolfe = brothel kreeper, logan = skate hi etc.
if you wanted to buy a decent tech jacket, you could.. maybe 2 for the price of a nomad, though you wouldnt be buying a visvim one. i dont endorse it, as i dont pay silly money for them, but i love the details in vis clothing, and understand the influence and direction they take.

this kinda ties in with a dicussion i was reading about acr aswell people saying about techthis that etc, difference is acr vis etc are creating technical outwear acr is more tech driven in design elements i guess but they are both catering for urnan demands rather than higland demands, theres alawys the argument that for walking to work or riding we dont really ned super high spec but as people who appreciate it we want it and these label tailoring design towards the markets needs is th reasons it sells

Not a fan of any of the camo 1s. The full zip nomad one is almost identical to an APC one my mate has, which I'd really like. It's coming up to Summer now tho, think ill wait til autumn before dropping 400 quid on a jacket.

Ranger belt? I think they're quality. Not £100 quality though.
