adam's right, look at gdeh, theyve had some hit and miss stuff in the past, and have been going strong with a following since the 90's, though mainly a more adult market. i dont see the attraction to readily slate vis yet, you wait, everyone will go full circle and come back to love it, but with quiet understatement, it will become a staple brand along side taps gdeh hp+, and fallen ec let it ride etc …all them brands you state and are comparing visvim to beam are nothing like the way visvim is going…not one of them has been faked (visvim is being well snided now), neither have they done a watered down version for the rappers either…so im sorry, and not just trying to be argumentative here, its nothing like any of them, and in no way comparable im afraid.
keep checking back to dsm, pretty sure they are on the cusp of getting the FIL white stuff. that camo bickle looks a lot lighter, more neutral in that pic… though it does suit what hes wearing, again thats the thing, some can still pull off bape, subtly with polos and plain button downs, instead of running it into the ground with shark hoodies and garish camo etc.

next step is a yellow/pink/orange patent leather and a camo version…mark my words, i will quote this post when it happens.
it maybe a little gimikey, but just think its a nice touch, people dont really get em round here anyway, so a little neon arounf the toe aint gonn do more harm

umm but those brands existed in a very different time for streetwear ,it kind of now exists in a new light with its internet and current e-attention,I can see vis getting bigger but i cant see it blowing up ala bape the brand dosent offer what that clientel needs other than the exclusivity factor the gline dose represent a change in focus and a clearly adapted design ethic to tailor to a evolving market, but i dont think you can rate vivims downfall on the fact they done a camo goretex jacket granted its expensive ut imo its pretty nice as i said before reminds me of finalhome camo its still tasteful an minus of heavy branding staying true to visvims visual.I dont think visvims clothing represents enough branding to attract the hypebeast/rap lot ,the shoes will blow up but as long as quality dosent disapeer from the brand ethic they im sure will ride the storm.

i like them cos i like the shoe and always will…but dont you think that they are 'Way Out' enuff as it is, without the need for klaxon style gimmicks as well? the lime fbt's smoke

i know it wont go the way of bape, of course it wont, no brand might never repeat that ever again..the biggest fashion success story in decades…but i mean, the p.r is deffo leading toward more gimmicky output from the brand. thats the point im getting at. please just wait for the neon patent and camo shoes and then ill say 'i told ya so'.
But as Beam was saying….a brand like gdeh (ok, it has a completely different history) has also put out some tosh (and it has been faked. lots)…but people keep coming back to it for the understated quality of tha majority of its items. I think the same applies to visvim. Personally, I don't care how much crap they put out (the clothes line is a bit hit and miss). As long as they keep with the quality innovative shoes that ive worn over the last few years, I don't care about it's reputation or how many people on whatever message boards slate it…oh, and I don't mind the patents either.
there is only ONE user on here that i think would ever look good or have ANY use whatsoever for a 'rucksack'. (people going on holiday/travelling aside i mean). I can never , or will ever understand how hypebeasts incoporated a suitcase for your back into a everyday fashion accesory. WTF??
mountain got rucksack check.
high street or trip to the post office or pizza hut in covent garden, got rucksack, un-check.
mountain got rucksack check.

im gald you got me beam, im not against manbags in any way (totes is stronging a bit for me mind) but i mean i went to prague for 2 days last month and took a tesco carrier bag for my gear…what the hell do people need a rucksack for to go to starbucks in rotherham high street and then strait back home..
