I dont think anyone else has took it though?I think outside of london its pretty much impossible to sell, due to price/brand awareness,Im surprised trie bien get away with so blatantly promoting it for sale on their site also.

never knew this. Cool

One of your iconic products is the FBT shoe. What’s the history behind this product?

I created the FBT shoe in 2001, during visvim’s second season. The inspiration came form a Fun Boy Three record cover, which Hiroshi Fujiwara showed me. He pointed out lead singer Terry Hall’s moccasins, and suggested I do something like that. I did some research on it, and decided to combine the traditional moccasin with an EVA Phylon midsole used for trainers. I also used primitive Elk leather, which was commonly used for American Indian moccasins.

anyone know what cover it was?

I had a look in that new shop on Redchurch Street. It's a rather odd clash of streetwear in one room - stussy and visvim - and dark drapey hype stuff in the other - diet butcher slim skin, odeur, rick owens, damir doma and some horrible medieval looking guidi boots. It doesn't sit together at all, plus I don't really see who in East London is going to buy Rick Owens?

I had a google and noticed it's listed as a Adam Kimmel stockist, so hopefully it will stock more of that sort of thing in the future. The guy said they had more space to open up inside too.

its in a excellent spot for the kind of product they want to sell, within 50 meters you have shoreditch house/Mother/saturday/relative + countless other creative companies all in the tea building theres a lot of disposible income there and the mix once their aw10 season comes in I think will be a bit more balanced,I also think their buy from brands like rick owens damir doma julius etc is quite well considered in that the pieces are all quite wearable and could be mixed in to outfits
