just picked up the red 22L for a steal. quite interesting to compare the bags over the years and see the differences and incremental improvements. The blue 22L is the oldest of the three and is pre riri zips and cordura.
Would like to get a current gen one as well but for the amount of use these actually get it seems silly to get another.

I had the blue one but in green. Sold it for £70 or something.

I think I have the next one from that, looking at those? I have the burgundy one on the left.

I got that and a navy one from Caliroots new for £190 each; sold the latter for £430 and so basically ended up with the burgundy one for free with a £15 profit. Laughing out loud

I think with the new owner, Caliroots' days of stupid deals may be gone.

yeah the red one is when they started using that stiff veggie dyed cow leather. but its before they started using the native american icon/hieroglyphs on the tag and still just had the text (free international labratory etc). I beleive its from around 2010

crazy, 190 for brand new is nuts. TBH i dont think ive seen any deep discounts on retail visvim in a long ass time. And even when it happens current retail pricing is high enough that 'steals' are hardly steals anymore.

^ the shiny/stiff veggie leather on those bags always the best imo, buffs out and looks new-ish for longer

Yeah agree with the veggie leather … it's great. Pity I had to replace all my zip pulls as they kept snapping.
Got rid of the remaining Visvim tagged one, and now have RiRi branded ones on mine.

Would like something like an iris liner without paying vis prices! Anyone seen anything similar recently?

What's your budget? I got mine second hand, but the price was at least 60% cheaper than buying in the UK second hand. Plus some are cheaper than others.

It's based on the m-65 liner I beleive. Lot of companies do a take on it or you can get mil surplus

the thing about the iris liners is that they are elevated field liners and are made from cotton/pile etc. Most regular field liners are nylon so right off the bat they're gonna have a bit of different look and feel. There may be some companies out there which do something that comes close but none come to mind.

I'd look maybe at stan ray, gramicci, Carhartt wip. Maybe around that area

Anyone seen the overdyed denim from a UK retailer?
