Crazy Joe Davola wrote: Seriously, this is getting a bit spooky, you also do "looks" posts where you arrange selected stock pics of clothing in photoshop to create a "look". I was gonna do exactly that too! Only I was gonna place the pics on a black and white photo from LIFE magazine to really create that special americana mood so I guess I 1-up'ed you on that one lol.

Just been watching that episode of Alan Partridge in which Alan gets trapped by his number 1 fan, a stalker.
Keep to the subject, please.

I'm trying to sell my Visvim Kiefer's and my girl asked some dude if he was interested in purchasing them. He said they're not his cup of tea (fair enough) and that he doesn't know anyone that's into the brand. My girl responded that it's a bit shit when I thought you knew about fashion, or knew people who were into high-end stuff and this was his response, "Dnt b silly! They aren't exactly massive in fashion…. There bland… Rather get converse"!!! I don't know whether to laugh or cry, a) Because how can a person say that about Visvim and b) Because of the awful spelling and grammar. Bare in mind this guy works at Size, so ultimately he knows everything about cool footwear Cool

Yeah I know, but it's not exactly crazy for someone who, like 99% of the population, doesn't know about visvim, to not understand them/prefer something else.

I think plenty do,most of the non Asian customer for Visvim are just people with money who shop in luxuary stores, they arent hunting stuff online all day they just see something they like and buy it and once they get in to it the store will often allow them to order straight from the catalouge at the same time the store dose its order they are sold the product by the store telling them/introducing them to it, the only thing the 'internet customer' really buys from brands like visvim are the instantly noticable pieces (fbt/christo/backpacks) in general these are the only products any store in europe particulary with street based client have any chance of selling in any number, its sad but true.

obviously only stores who carry the brand Laughing out loud its far far from mainstream as to the customer who purchases it, it will hold little to no aspirational value as very few in their circle will know what it is, Im by no means saying this is a big business but there is a customer who is buying this brand outside of internet land.infact 50-70% of the people who beast about it online will never buy a product from visvim from a shop, most of them will only ever experience it as a second hand product or something they fantasise about as the price is above what they can spend on a single item.

Ok ok, my point wasn't that people do or don't know about visvim, i was jst saying that it isnt surprising (as was suggested in the story) for someone who has never seen visvim/ never heard of the brand to not like or want them.

Crazy Joe Davola wrote: Lol just got to page three of you blog. I see you also write you blog "endorses" stuff you dig, like you write in third person or your blog was an actual company. I was gonna do that exact thing too, I hope you don't think I'm biting your blog lol, no hard feelings I hope.

No he actually said he knows everything about the brand but still thinks they're bland or whatever. I mean I'm never going to like every single Visvim piece there is but still, I appreciate the time and effort that goes into making a pair of shoes. The fact that most, if not all their footwear is toned down is appealing to me as I'd rather wear something 'bland' rather then a myriad of colours.
