I do that too

Not for being polite, but because I like to know, in my mind, that the plates and cutlery have all been properly cleaned… and if someone else washes up, I sometimes sneak back in and give everything a wash… again.
Washing the dishes "properly" is my main one. Does anybody else have to wash everything in running water? I just cannot fill the sink with water and washing up liquid and wash them that way. It's not a germs thing, it's just they always feel greasy to me if they haven't been washed in running water
One time I had a few friends round for Sunday dinner, one of whom had fully blown OCD. He insisted on doing the washing up immediately after finishing, which is usually my job. He spent about half an hour washing up, then once he'd finished, because I hadn't done the washing up myself, I rewashed everything. Battle of the OCDers!

I tend to do that with any of those plastic carriers. Got loads of them and never chuck them away but only because I don't know if they go in the recycling bin or the household waste bin or whatever
Other ones off the top of my head:
I can't touch people's pets because I want to go and wash my hands right after. If I go round somebody's house and they have a dog, I pretend I don't like dogs so I don't have to touch them
I don't eat meat because of various things mentioned in this thread - basically how the food is handled/treated before it gets to the supermarket shelf
If a film I like is on TV I'll watch it even if I have the DVD and have not and would not have watched it for years otherwise. I like the feeling that other people are watching it at the same time as me
If I realise I've been spelling a word wrong for ages I'll keep spelling it wrong. I think I dislike the inconsistency
And I've noticed I've got worse since living on my own. When I had no choice but to put up with people leaving wet towels on the floor or leaving crumbs on the work surface it didn't bother me much, although I still noticed it
