Has anyone read 'How Soccer Explains the World: An Unlikely Theory of Globalization' by Franklin Foer? It looks interesting but it's written by an American and has the word soccer in it. I'm assuming it might not translate very well and be all bleary-eyed like a lot of US football writing is.

Anyone got a Kindle? Is it possible to just download books? Looked around but can't really find anything. Quite surprised how expensive eBooks are.

Not sure if it's compatible with Kindle but you can get loads of free e-books from project gutenberg

Just finished the dark fields (aka limitless) thought it was good and kinda motivational. Any other books that feature a similar theme i.e someone working hard and seeing the results that come from it in a material non spiritual do gooder kinda way.

Just started reading Stuart-a life backwards by Alexander masters. Bought it after having a look through this thread, not got proper into it yet, but liking it so far.
