Karrimor is a bit 'geography teacher' but I was thinking more that the UK version has been trashed in quality by being owned by Sports Direct.
I'm not sure it was ever 'cool' in the UK (I remember it not being on a level with Berghaus, Sprayway and Helly Hansen in the 90s) but I'm sure it has some good history. The trend for the Japanese market to get a superior product from a UK / USA brand (produced under license no doubt, but still) continues…
very rad Joe, been looking for that taps '01 sweater in navy again, had it, got mad at it, didn't want it no more…now I want it again..believe it's acrylic blend? But that works for anti pilling? Can't remember, but the "look" is something I want more of again..I keep coming back to that one fucking season of taps. Pretty much the peak of everything to me.
Karrimor has always had a following in jp, I remember dpm packs from them around a bit in 2001..
Yeah I guess the acryl ref is for the tech zip?
Yeah mad thick, think I didn't like it at the time coz it didn't hang low enough on me and kinda cinched..now I'm skinnier, think it would look good

I think it's popular in japan I see it a lot in jp outdoors magazines. the Japanese versions of their product are better looking than the uk product I think. In the uk is it geography teacher? (is that the phrase you use?)
