what is "decent but reasonably priced" £20 a head for 2 courses ex booze?
Yeah around that, no more than £30 per head
Anchor & Hope , The Cut (nr Waterloo)- doesn't take bookings but can get busy
Might have to give it a look as I'll be around waterloo later on in the day
if near liverpool st, drunken monkey gives best bang for buck

Cheers Cov… fucking love slaw, so easy to just grate everything (this one was betroot, celeriac, cabbage, red onion, sultanas, pine nuts) and drench in lime juice/zest
add cream or mayo if you want to dirty it up… wedges were perfect…. par boiled the potatoes then shallow fried them with spices…. fluffy in the middle, crispy/spicy/smokey outer… amazing!
