Anyone follow any decent food blogs? Used to follow a few but most seem to have stopped posting or else are just shit recipes now. Any suggestions, preferably UK based rather than US ones.

How did you find the pizza from Mother's Joe?

I had it saturday and thought it was pretty shit. Don't get the hype.
Cosy enough place though.

I did a search but no luck. Somebody a while back put up a link for a website about really elaborate luxury hamburgers, can anyone help me out? I remember there being really good images on the site….

Katsu looks nice, got a recipe on that? I know there are lots of variants online but would rather ask.

Here ya go

1. Chicken… Its easier to just use whole chicken breasts and flatten them out but i decided to chop these up… so 1 bowl plain flour, 1 bowl egg, 1 bowl panko (breadcrumbs, available from most world food places)… coat with flour, then egg then breadcrumb making sure coverage is even. You can then either fry them in veg oil on a low-med heat til golden or in the oven for 20 mins turning once so both sides are cooked.

2. Katsu Sauce… Fry 3 cloves garlic and half an onion on a low heat add 1/4 teaspoon garam Masala, 1/2 teaspoon turmeric, 1/2 teaspoon chilli powder, 1 tblspoon flour , 1 bay leaf. Turn up the heat and add approx 250 mls chicken stock, 2 tbspn soy, 1/2 teaspoon honey and simmer till thickened. Up to you at this point but i take out the bay leaves and pop it in a blender to get a better consistency.

3. Greens… Lightly fry garlic and ginger off in oil and add Pak choi… Again should be a fairly low heat… dont frizzle them… after they start to wilt slightly aftr 1-2 mins add chicken stock and oyster sauce to taste along with a dash of seasame oil. Most recipes will give you exact measurements but i thing its better to figure out what suits you… just bear in mind oyster sauce contains alot of salt so dont go overboard
