seenmy wrote: breslin burger at ace NYC,prob one of best burger I have had, certainly best room service burger I have ever had,had a lamb burger from the restaurant also which was equally as good the following evening

I wanted to go to The Breslin for the lamb burger when I was in NYC last year but didn't make it. Had a great burger at Balthazar though, it was class. Definitely gonna get to The Breslin next time I'm over, and finally try the black label burger at Minetta Tavern.

I know you're not Duff, just seeing lentils always reminds me of The Young Ones.

Totalitarian vegetables!

DuffMan wrote: I'd say you're both kind of right (pig welfare for example isn't that great in the UK, it's just better than other places), free range/organic chicken and eggs are very prevalent as is other meat and in terms of veal, British 'rose veal' which is like the beef version of lamb is supposed to be ethically a lot better. Buy that RSPCA Freedom Food where available for good standards.

Also Nick before you moan, it's not that expensive!

I wasn't going to moan, people seem to think I have a problem with expensive things, I don't, I have a problem with overpriced things.

I do try to find stuff thats has has been reared in an ethical way (or so they say), but when I'm abroad and I know stuff isn't done the way we do it in our "compassionate" country I still eat stuff, I just don't think about it.
