Its true though, maybe alot of the newer users have different taste so do appreciate Visvim but go back 3-4 years ago Adam used to get slated for wearing them. Comments like 'Wigwams', 'Tee Pee shoes' etc where thrown around. Not trying to shine Adams arse as im sure he can get that done by many a caberet dancer but its just wierd how all of a sudden everyone is enlightened. I like em Think Paulos new ones look great, just not for me, have my style stick to it. Just wierd thats all, im confused as to why everyone is now all over it. Maybe its just here, I cant doubt the quality and comfort as I had some Kiefers back in 2004 and they were up there with some of the best footware I ever owned. Just wierd how the tables turn.

its generally quite samey on here though, theres quite a bit of team buying or buying for 'e props' as id like to call it, nothing wrong withit as people are putting generally nice balanced outfits together but its all to a pretty standard formula 'safe' for everyday use.

and at the same time as people ae evolving be it through wanting e-props or just the fact they have been shown new brands through fuk, there is people whose wayw posts are the same as 2 years ago, neither are a bad thing, imho

people take themselves and what they wear too serious. its a fasion forum, people have different styles and tastes, and there is plenty of variety, i like to check this thread to see what people wear and will pick up ideas, there are bound to be similarities in posts though

I was going to write a long thing here, but i deleted it…it goes way back before visvims…its grown to something massive now on the net and in real life. I remember the night crookedtongues started off…they used to advertise on the old mo wax board….people were constantly clicking refresh…just a group of people on one or two message boards. Now look how influential it is.
its all very boring now. same old same old.
..and boards like this are so sturated with it, they they thmselves are in danger of becming dated by assosiation.
im alright. ive found my groove now. but it makes my heart sink when i see how little it has moved on….

True man 'fashion is fickle' as they say… each to their own and all that.

Was looking though the photo thread and there's a post that kinda fits… all about being totally un-interested, don't see the point etc… just a fact that some people are more aware, or have a different level of perception… this forum totally proves it.

Can't remember mbs's old (WAYWT) posts but would be interested to see wha was going on…

^All very good points. Nice too hear opinions come out, nothing wrong with good friendly disscussion.

As Seenmy said 'E-Props' have certainly something to do with it, certain safe items will always get the recoginotion but others maybe frowned upon. Like my point back when Vis was slated on here.
Although this is a small community and we all have a common ground but does anyone else find that seeing the same here makes you not want to be the same? Be honest?

If Im honest I kind of do but saying that, I will only wear what im comfortable in and go with my gut feeling. I see many items on here I love but not on me. I now just like to put what I feel works together and that is practical to my everyday life and I hope that that suits me. I love people who are more daring and wear more 'fruity' and 'Solid' items/outfits makes fashion what it is.

Mate, your outfits ALL consist of a t shirt, jeans, trainers and an ill fitting anorak. Seems like a pretty standard formula to me? You're no avante garde fashionista, that's for sure, calling items of clothing 'pieces' doesn't make you stylish. You're also the biggest seeker of 'e-props' on here, posting your pictures here and on SUFU, so I don't quite get your point?

T shirt, jeans & trainers = 'samey'.

I like seenmys look..

It would be great if people came o here with fresh idea's, new direction..
..instead of being 'won over' to visvims and dior
…im not hating and dont want to agrue about it..but its how i feel…
..i suppose this board might be open to it more than some others.

It's funny isn't it how many people wear Dior Homme jeans nowadays. I remember in the days of my Nudies, the only people wearing DH jeans were Michael, Mob/Mod (I confuse the two), WTA and Kie. Now look at it. It's almost the next "Nudie". Same with Visvim FBTs, I thought they were fricken hideous, joke shoes. Then I bought a pair…

I remember the days of Dior Vs Bape and how I'd slate DH etc. Oh it seems so long ago, but it wasn't. Now I'm in bed with Hedi and Homer.

It is interesting to see how the internet, a forum like this can influence peoples buying habbits. It isn't just this forum which is influencing people to buy into Visvim and Dior. Just look at SuFu with the Dior Homme denim thread, the amount of people jumping onboard… same with the Visvim thread, that's blowing up hugely with a lot of people looking to buy Logans… Keifers… Ancestors.

Internet nowadays is a strong force when it comes to "advertising" goods and viral advertising.
