yeah it was a compliment. oh well - strange how the world works, I always thought it was offered up to gaijin like they were the ultimate accessory. I guess reading metropolis forums a while ago gave me skewed vision.

Andymakes - how is it in Moscow (I know you have a girl there) but do you get lines forming around you like you're handing out bread?

nah its hype. Most girls here aren`t interested in gaijin. Jap girls overseas are all up for gaijin boyfriends. Prolly why I had a lotta Japanese girlfriends in Australia.

My brother in Kiev said much the same. Locals think English people are grinning idiots because they laugh and smile all the time, they save it for special occasions! Smiling

since lowering the tone in the NAY/YAY thread with my prospective choice of footwear here I go and do the same in this one. Dusted these off last week, and wearing today as I shuffle around the flat with a broken head from last night. Bought them about 10 years ago, Clarks desert with the front seam.
