i found a phone in the street the other day and switched it on to see that the owner had blocked it. Went through the contacts list and text the persons mum to tell them i had it and where they wanted me to return it to.

Will they be able to unblock it through orange or is it no use to them now?

Yeah, they can unblock it but if it's a contract phone it might have already been replaced and then they won't

My contract ends tomorrow and I've seen an offer in Carphone Warehouse for £30/month unlimited texts and 600mins and free PS3. Is this the best kind of offer or if I ring o2 will I get something better through them? I've always just had 500 texts n 500 mins so don't know if I should expect free internet or something? Also, if they offer me something and I say it's not good I'll go elsewhere will they give me something better or just OK BYE.

? I'm a bit clueless with new technology too, are PS3's even good?

iPhone 3GS - Most apps (And probably best apps).

HTC Legend - Amazing design.

HTC Desire - Pure power.

I'd probably go with the next iPhone, but that's 'cause all the apps I currently use on my iPhone 3G aren't available on Android. But once the Android Market gets bigger, I'll definitely be switching over to one of the sexy/powerful HTC handsets.

If I were you I'd go into the shops and try all 3 phones out and see which you get on with.

My nokia has totally packed up, parents own the contract and can't be bothered getting me another because I'll just break it again apparently. Any nice looking shit phones for about £40? I'll just get another at upgrade time.

You just want the moon on a stick, don't you Kane?

I saw the Land Rover phone in a shop the other day, built like a brick shithouse and proper ugly, you should get in on that!

But why get a phone that's the polar opposite to me ?
p.s my phones break not through my own fault but just general technical faults, I'm cursed.

Just got a HTC Desire (its amazing by the way)

I've heard the term 'rooting' being banded around the internet, and was wondering if anyone knew the advantages of rooting my htc?

Would I be able to download cracked apps? or am I way off the mark.

I'm upgrading my phone at the minute, looking at the HTC Desire for 27.50 a month with unlimited texts and internet and 400 mins. The contract though is 24 months and I'd rather an 18 month one, would it be worthwhile ringing up and trying to get a shorter contract or else money off or is it not worth the effort?

I'd wait for the new Apple iPhone is out which I'm guessing is the 7th June or at least announced. Not saying get the iPhone instead you can then make a more informed choice plus I guessing the HTC Desire will on better offer than it is at the minute.
