How to size on 70s Cons in general? I think I read half down but website I'm looking at only has whole sizes…

I go up a half size, definitely not a size down job in my opinion.

Have always gone for half size down in the 70s Cons, when i first bought a pair i got size 9 (my normal size) but found they were very long and just didn't look right, would advise half a size down for sure, even on the official Converse website they state they run half a size large

That's nuts I'm an 8 or 8.5 but need a 9 in 70s cons, unless you have very narrow feet size up at least half.
I think it's the way they're sized that confuses people, the UK and US size is the same for for example a US 9 is a UK 9 EU 42.5 (normaly US10 = UK9)
The eu size is about right.

So thats two people saying half a size up? Really found them long on me when i got my usual size, suppose it all comes down to your foot shape i guess…

I go with my normal Nike size in the 70s. Narrow fitting, but they give a bit with wear if needed. Definitely not a size down job.

They would definitely look too long sizing up imho. TTS to be on the safe side

very narrow, .5 up as they'll kill your smallest toe otherwise.

My feet are wide, the Cons are narrow, half a size up means they're not squashing my toes to fuck and the length isn't a problem.

They're proper long though, a half size up would be ok on width but my toes would be miles from the end. Basically they're a silly shape.

The much-demanded natural low 70s Cons are up at Footpatrol: http://www.footpatrol.co.uk/footwear/204322-chuck-taylor-all-star-ox-70.html

Whole sizes only. If anyone spots any in half sizes, give me a shout. Looking for a 9.5.

Don't think there are any half sizes in those, apart from a few in very little women's sizes. Could be wrong but haven't seen any in men's sizes what so ever.

There will be, but you'll probably have to get them from one of the European stores.
