Had them and Eytys and preferred the latter for that kind of silhouette

nah, the brand is a bit too far on the repro denim/sufu denim gang side of things and also I don't think I like the taper even though it's subtle

not to everyones tastes i know but in this shitty weather i love these, for walking hiking or just being in rain, i've tried loads but these are definitely heads and shoulders above anything else.

I got these Nike IDs delivered:

fairly decent quality, really fast turnaround to Australia with free shipping (Said up to 4 weeks, took 2) sized down half a size from pre-07 pairs which I've been wearing for years. This is to avoid the boot effect. The toe box is still slightly more boxy than the '03s I've been buying up ('03 gums getting too rare and expensive now). At AUD$155 a pair delivered think I wanna pick up a full rotation of IDs in solid colours with gum soles before they stop doin em. Like 3 or 4 pairs.

Vans x EG

Latecomer to Vans and obsessed with them. Slip on ones are so comfortable that I find myself choosing them over 70s Cons more and more.

I also got some of them. They looked like this after 3 hours of wearing. Hardly done any walking. Obviously nothing new with AF1 toebox creasing but didn’t expect them to look this bad this quick.

Bought a pair of 990 V5 off ebay for a decent price, but something doesn't feel right. I've owned a few pairs of NBs over the years and the quality is always on point. The quality seems poor and they feel really light. The sizing seems off too, these are a UK9.5 but feel like a 8.5. Some of the tags look darker and details on the heal look lighter than the stock photos - not sure if there was different variants of this CW.

Anyone got a pair to compare?

Thanks in advance.

I can't say anything on the V5 and on that specific pair, as I've got the V4, but in general for the money those shoes cost the quality is not up there where you would expect.

So you think the V4 are piss poor quality too?

I wouldn't go that far, they're definitely not piss poor quality, they're better than most Nikes and Adidas I've handled in recent years, but neither are 180£\200€ worth…

It's just that you expect a lot from a Made in USA expensive pair of trainers, which are good quality but not as great as they made you think.

I’ve had the 991s and they were pretty solid shoes, and had some weight in them. Had the first version of the 990 and they were really well made too.

These however..

Yeah my v4 are quite heavy, but again they have poor stitchings and some light scruffs on the suede (got them brand new from a store).

The only way to know if those are legit is to compare them with some other v5, someone on here definitely has them, unless it was you that mentioned a pick up of a pair in a thread i can't remember Puzzled

Nike Daybreak SP. Really decent colour way, shape is great, quality feels on point and I actually prefer these to the black/white sacai.

I’ve got a brand new pair of those v5’s in grey at home, I’ll check my pair against your pics tomorrow. In general I would say NB quality isn’t amazing, the grey v4’s I’ve got have got glue leaking under the plastic heel part
