Saw the Goretex version in black at a Nike Store and was very tempted as I have a coupla pairs of the non-Goretex and they're incredibly comfy - they feel a little less flexible than the non.
However after running 11.5 miles in the non-Goretex version in Ark like weather on Saturday morning there's no way on earth that the Goretex version would have coped any differently so have decided against it and am gonna just go for a new colourway in the non.

I don’t get why they gotta write goretex on it. They just released some AF1’s which are goretex and again it’s plastered on the side.

I think it might be because of Gore Tex wanting to reposition itself more as a brand rather than just a material\tech provider…they're trying to give the name\logo as much visibility as possible.
Went to check the Zoom Pegasus 36 in reals yesterday because I like them for walking, plus with Gore Tex would have been just perfect, but could not get away with that huge lettering on the sides. Green ones look very good, probably would have gone for those

You have to put gore tex branding in the upper, but it can just be a discreet woven label. It’s up to the brands using it really

How do Peg 36 fit?
I'm a 9 in 90% of Nikes.

Goretex seem to be collaborating in a similar capacity with just about every brand at the moment? Nike, Converse, Asics … all with the much more prominent branding. Definitely a new direction.

Anyone got a pair of Tailwind 79 and can comment on sizing?

Definitely a half size down job unless you have massively wide feet.

They're riding the wave of outdoor stuff getting cool - might as well plaster goretex in massive letters on stuff while people want to wear Arcteryx jackets and salomon shoes down the pub
