only ever worn them to hike and as comfortable as the sole is, I've always found the fit a bit awkward because of the high top - difficult to explain. Got on a lot better with the ultra trail runners.

Similar experience ^^^

Ordered a pair, tried 'em on and they just felt 'wrong', specifically on the ankle bone - wore them around the house for 30 mimutes before returning 'em.

did you two try sizes either side of what you had? I went down half a size and took out the insole, i was getting rubbing on the ankle too and this solved it.

tried a lot of sizes, but couldn't find anything great. Think I ended up with a 10.5, 1/2 a size down from my normal size and a full size down from UBs.

honestly, try them down with no insole. It gets rid of that exact issue.

Nike releasing the Nasu in gortex on friday, could be a decent buy

Woulda gone for them if they were sub £100. 120 bar just seems a bit much.

Converse UK site has them, and can get a 20% code if you sign-up with a new email. Code will only work on limited editions 48hrs after release, but imagine they'll still be available.

Good to know this!
Codes used to work immediately a while ago but then it stopped, at least for me, and i thought it was because limited editions were always excluded. Had no clue about the 48hrs rule

I've never actually tried it myself, but that's what Converse customer service told me!

I got a pair of general release Hierro 5 in the sales for walking\travelling and i've been surprised by how comfortable they are. Great comfort, support and cushioning, only cons they're a bit on the heavy side

Don’t know if it’s the same version, but seem to be available in some sizes on Nike store already
