I've seen Pay-less Shoes would Good leather. doesn't make them high end.

Jordan Brand is actually going to start making their retros with better leather. Doesn't make them high end.

I am trolling a bit on the comparisons, but if it's going over peoples heads, I'm trying to say that it's an overpriced mid-range unoriginal shoe amongst shoe's with an actual legacy. I mean if we are talking fashion, these are just a wack choice amongst a sea of cheaper and or better alternatives.

people buy cp's for the same reason they buy stans over the multitude of high street copies
there is some level of quality in it(wether or not that denotes the price point being that high) but also a level of elitism no doubt
theres a thousand other brands out there that have price points over the quality of their goods

……………….its fashunz

I rarely wear any of my CP's. They're well made in the sense that the stitching is in straight lines and there's no visible glue. I think I don't wear them because of find the overall shape a bit too slim and only seem to work with real slim trews. I thought the BBLow's with gum sole were the best ones they've done in a while, the extra bit on the sole give them a bit more.

Never liked the Achilles shape, really ugly. And sometimes when you wear them, there is a little doubt in the back of your mind, do they look high end or do they just look really cheap. Don't care what anyone says, these look cheap as fuck and if they weren't £200+ nobody would be buying them:

I like the CP's that look like AF1 mids, and the desert boots in grey suede. but there are better alternatives for the coin is all.

I think your reasoning is why I don't like the achilles, I have no beef with the other models, but this model is just offensive to the consumer imo

of which model? I like those needles but people didn't like those

High End
visvim

Hender Scheme

Same range: undercover, makes a different one each season it seems

Low End:

We are talking about a plain, simple shoe. It's possible to do plain and simple and still have character without the cheap look. The way the toebox looks on CP's is just ugly. These are somewhat accessible, don't let me get on some going out of your way for dope shit. But basically the achilles is a dull option, for the price imo.

Yes, they both can do a plain looking trainer well and for even more money than CP's. Think I'll save myself a few hundred quid and stick with CP's thanks.

High End

visvim
£485

Hender scheme
£570

It's all a matter of opinion though isn't it? Wouldn't think twice about either of those visvims above, even before knowing the price. That low end nike you posted is laughable when comparing to CP's. All in my opinion of course. Eye-wink

i own most other models from CP, but the achilles low is a terrible shape imo. Far too narrow and the toe box area makes me feel uneasy.
They remind me of those casual shoes Italians wear

There's plenty of cp alternatives that actually look identical to achilles but retail for less. I have svensson trainers that are very similar but cost about 150 I think. Erik schedin might have some. Think there's some Japanese brand like ambassador or diplomat or something. I think there are others I feel like I bump into them regularly on the internet. There's probably a bunch of reddit posts about it

Cp retail price is out of control and the hype machine tends to keep them there.
