Hoping someone between the age of 25-28 will be able to back this up, but when I was at school everyone had Classics and I mean EVERYONE. Girl and boy. And the colourways got more and more ridiculous. Cannot think of an item that has had such popularity as this since.
I think we probably live in different times now and it wont be repeated.
edit - for any yoots that think this is such a chavvy thing to say, things were simpler in them days, we didnt even know what a chav was

Man I love those so much :| I had a black pair of the old FBTs back when they where first picking up, but every time I wore them about town some random or one of my mates would take the piss which really put my off

I'm 29 and remember they re-released them in about 1995 and they were actually pretty cool and uncommon at first. I had a cream pair with blue logo and blue stripe on the mid sole. Don't wanna sound like Milspex but strangers would stop me on the street and compliment me on them. Compare that to how they're seen now

Everybody had Reebok Classics at my school. I had a pair, but I can't remember how old I was.
My trainer game was strong when I was a kid. My first pair of Tailwinds are probably my favourite Nikes I've ever had
