My school in the early nineties it was Jordans, Timberlands, CAT boots Reebok Pumps, British Knights, Troop, SPX and LA Gear with crazy lacing. Think most kids had Hi Tech or Gola tho. DMs if you listened to The Levellers. Pretty sure Jordans were in the news for people getting mugged for them too.

Cobra Sports got swallowed up by one of the bigger ones didnt it, have a feeling it was Offspring. I remember getting a pair of Limited edition Nike Air Trainer Low in dark suede from Carnaby Cobra which I fucking adored.

there was a shoe released around the same time as the tn, looked better but i think they only ever done a few colours. FL exclusive, anyone remember it?

Wasnt the money, was the coolness of being so different. The masses dont like different cos they get picked on. And 'everyone' so so so didnt fucking have prestos.

nah weren't 98's, iirc they only ever did two or three colours over here. Had a different font to TNs as the toe plastic but came up not round like tns.

FL did some triple black AM1, whole college went mad for them, then 2000 even starting wearing Prada sports.

Rick that's where I got my Rifts from, he got tried going states and Tns went out favour and Global sports came to the market, couldn't compete.

nope not those, they deffo had the TN stamp on the sole but whereas the ones that got popular have a rise on the instep these were kinda flat. Womens colours were amazing, like a neon blue and purple.
