Wouldn't be that harsh - I do think though that now lifestyle is contrived more than just fashion. Whereas FUK you have people from different walks of life, we don't all follow one lifestyle, we have common interests but there is a sense of individuality. This Supreme/basement lot all follow a lifestyle

Walt and Zoom have overseen the next incarnation of what we all had here. Yes half the posters don't know what they are on about, yes most on them are kids & yes there is a lack of knowledge but we all have to start somewhere. Fair play to those who set it up as they must be coining it in with the merchandise they shift in big quantities regularly.
Bollocks, the difference is people joined fuk because they were interested in fashion (wether that be runway/topper, streetwear, denim, trainers, whatever) the kids (and some men who should know better) on basement just want to fit in with their mates. It's nothing to do with fashion it's entirely schoolyard bullshit of wearing the exact same brands that they know nothing about.

Fashion is of course tribal. We all found fuk looking for specific items or brands and stayed because of the community. Groups like the basement are the reverse, people join wanting to be part of a community and then get educated on whatever is popular

There are people on here with true style and then there are the 95% of people wanting to fit in with the fuk trends. Let's face it most of the older fukers have owned Dior 19cm's, corpus leathers, aspecto fbt's etc etc etc and that's no different to what the kids on there do - there are new hype items and brands. Groups like the Basement are just the next generation but they all have iPhones and social media which makes it all the more public. Fuk is dead for a multitude of reasons but mainly an aging user base, not attracting new members and scaring of those who do join & failing to modernise

strong point
